Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and a Warden

Start from the beginning

Y/N watched as an egg half his size appeared in front of him. It was perfectly round, colored yellowish white and with web markings all around it. Y/N blinked slowly, never expecting to get an actual egg as a reward. Maybe some type of weapon or armor, but an actual egg was never on his list of boss loot.

Y/N: "Is it a boss spawner?"

"Why don't you use appraisal to check? You know, the spell that's made for this kind of stuff?"

Y/N: "Good idea!"

Y/N gasped with stars in his eyes as he vibrated in place.

Y/N: "I can get a pet! YES!"

He happily hugged the egg, nuzzling into it.

Y/N: "Oh wow, it is wriggling."

He broke the hug and picked it up, finding it very light despite it's size, and carried it to the next room. Just as expected, it was the chest room, meaning this was the end of the dungeon. As always, the chest opened and out came some items.

Y/N ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He hadn't realized he spent too long in the dungeon, so he was late for school, missed the bus, and now had to run just to make it to the first class. Good thing his Running shoes help him. He has a bandage wrapped around his hand since potions heal wounds, but leaves the scar behind. Finally arriving, he wheezed from exhaustion, hands on his knees as he panted in front of the school. Students looked at him weirdly, but they were already used to it. Weird kids, he and the girl... who was now behind him and tapping his shoulder.

Luz: "Y/N! I thought you wouldn't make it today."

Y/N: "Sorry. I... slept in."

Luz: "Well, I hope you slept well, because I don't want you falling asleep during my book report!"
