Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and a Warden

As King follows Eda out the door, the remaining humans stare at each other.

Luz: "I guess we follow them?"

Lucia: "That hija de perra..."

Y/N: "Onward to a magic adventure!"

Y/N ran after King and Eda without thinking twice, leaving Luz and Lucia behind. Luz chuckled and followed while Lucia shook her head, but couldn't help a smile to form on her face as she too started walking outside. There stands Eda, already on her staff, and Y/N, who is helping King get onto the staff before getting on it himself.

Luz: "So where are we going, anyway?"

Eda: "Somewhere super fun!"

It took about an hour of travel, but they are now at the "super fun" place. A tower like prison, surrounded by giant, curving spikes and sticking out of a giant wall in the shape of a dome. Dark clouds fill the sky, casting shadows over the building and it's future intruders as thunder booms in the distance.

Eda: "The Conformatorium. A place for those considered unsuitable for society."

Y/N: "I smell a boss fight."

Lucia: "Well I smell garbage and desperation."

Luz, with King on her head, notices a poster similar to the one the guard had earlier and grabs it. It's the same depiction of Eda and who they now know is King, standing beside each other.

Luz: "Wow. These guys really have the hots for you."

Eda: "Yep. But we were never caught because we're too slippery."

King: "Try to catch me when I'm covered in grease. I'm a squirmy little fella!"

King ends up losing his balance and falling from Luz's head, faceplanting the floor. He then gets up like nothing happened and points to the tower.

King: "You, bigger you and I will sneak up to the top of the tower where they're holding my crown."

Eda: "And me and the little guy here-"

She places a hand on Y/N's head.

Eda: "Will make sure the warden's distracted."

Instead of a normal reaction, the two human girls just stared between Eda and Y/N with an unreadable expression. Luz narrowed her eyes and Lucia growled under her breath, then both grabbed one of Y/N's arms each and pulled him to them.

Lucia: "Nope!"

Luz: "He's with us!"

Y/N: "Why can't I go with Miss Eda?"

Lucia: "Because we said so. You can handle it on your own, can't you, Owl Lady?"

Eda raised a finger to respond, but the stares she was getting actually made her feel like her life was in danger. The bird in her said so, so she just shrugged.

Eda: "Fine by me. Boy's all yours."

Lucia: "Yes, he is~"

She brushed Y/N's hair slowly, setting her claim. In less than a second, Luz instantly brightened up, letting go of Y/N's arm.

Luz: "Will I need a disguise?"

Eda: "Uhhh."

Luz: "I've been waiting to use this!"
