Hooty: "Alright, alright, jeez. You never want to have any fun. Ow. Hoot."
And in a very gross display, Hooty opened his mouth to the size of the door to let them in. Lucia was on the edge of noping it out of there as her face scrunched up in disgust and unease, while Y/N was the complete opposite. You can't really make the fantasy nerd uncomfortable with fantasy stuff, no matter how gross or cursed they are. As Luz and Eda walked inside, Lucia as well although much more reluctant, Y/N waved at Hooty.
Y/N: "Is the password 'Abracadabra'?"
He saw Hooty, still with his mouth open wink at him to say he's right. Pumping his fist in victory, he ran inside to catch up to the rest, allowing Hooty to close his mouth before letting out a small burp. Y/N was caught off guard by how dark the inside was, so he instinctively tried reaching for a light switch, but found none.
Eda: "Welcome to... The Owl House."
She snapped her fingers and, just like magic, the entire place came to life. Candles lit themselves up, the fireplace burned, a cauldron mixed it's own contents, a broom swept automatically, and even the walls lit up in patterns. Luz and Y/N awed at the show, and Y/N took mental notes about doing the same to his Safe House.
Eda: "Where I hide away from the pressures of modern life... also the cops... mmh, also ex-boyfriends, eh."
Luz: "This place is beautiful! Do you live here all alone?"
Just on cue, the house started to shake, and the sounds of massive footsteps could be heard coming down.
Eda: "Actually, I have a roommate."
The footsteps came closer, and Lucia got her bat out and in front of her sister and boyfr- cru- best friend. A loud and deep voice came from a doorway as a big shadow loomed closer and closer.
Roommate: "Who dares intrude upon I..."
Only for a tiny furry dog creature to walk out with a towel wrapped around it's torso, another on it's head, and holding a rubber ducky.
Roommate: "The king of demons!"
The self proclaimed king of demons stands there menacingly... squishing the rubber ducky so it squeaks, just like a good supervillain. All that does is make Luz gasp dramatically and scoop up the tiny dog.
Luz: "¡Ay, que lindo!"
The other three just watched as Luz nuzzled her cheek against the dog. Lucia rolled her eyes, used to how her sister treats cute things.
Luz: "Eda, he's soooo cute! Who's a widdle guy? Who's a widdle guy? Is it you? Is it you?"
The creature just got a very concerned look for himself on his face and tried to escape the girl's hold, flailing his arms and legs around, with no success.
Roommate: "No! I don't know who your little guy is! Eda, who is this monster?"
Lucia: "Alright, sis. Enough crushing the weird talking dog. Have Y/N instead."
Lucia grabbed Luz and made her let go of the creature, then shoved her against Y/N who had to wrap his arms around her waist so they wouldn't both fall. Their faces where mere inches apart, and Luz didn't know how to react so she just stood there, staring. Lucia smirked and, seeing Eda's confused expression on why they weren't separating, gave her a nod, and it instantly clicked for the witch who smirked as well.
Roommate: "Yes! The other monster hypnotised the grabby one! Now eat her!"
That did it for Luz, who's mind immediately went to Y/N "eating" her. Not quite what the furry creature meant, but it made Luz sprout a nuclear blush and step away from Y/N. Her mind was running with scenarios and ideas unfamiliar to her, so she tried distracting herself by changing the topic.
