Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and a Warden

Start from the beginning

Woman: "Can I offer you a foot filled with holes?"

Then a deodorant, which she spins the bottom to show off the 'candy'.

Woman: "A bar of green human candy?"

Lastly, she grabs an old, small portable tv. It's turned off, so Luz can see her reflection in the screen.

Woman: "How about this black shadow box that reflects only sadness?"

Lucia: "Accurate."

Feeling less on guard, Lucia puts her bat down, but still holds it just in case. Luz laughs in amusement, confusing the woman, and hops off the stool she was sitting on.

Luz: "That's not all it can do. Here, let me see it."

She grabs the TV, inspects it, and then looks around, spotting a bowl titled "Human candy! (????)". Since her hands are occupied, she looks at her sister who rolls her eyes but grabs a pair of batteries from the bowl. Luz opens the top of the TV, revealing a battery pocket, and places both batteries inside before closing it and pressing the arrow shaped button below the screen. The TV shows an old jazzercise video with loud music, attracting people (?) to come check it out. Y/N had stars in his eyes, seeing so many strange creatures up close that weren't trying to maul him to death. Everyone around started bidding for the TV, loudly yelling random prices. Lucia protectively placed her arms around Luz and Y/N and pulled them closer.

Woman: "What did you say your names were?"

Luz: "I'm Luz. Luz Noceda."

Luz elbowed Lucia so she would speak up.

Lucia: "Lucia Noceda. Luz's sister."

Now it was Y/N's turn, but he was too busy admiring the sight of so many weird things around him to pay attention. He looked like a kid in a candy store.

Luz: "And that's Y/N L/N, my best friend."

Lucia: "Communism."

Luz: "Our best friend."

The woman starts taking the money from from everyone, clearly just stealing it.

Woman: "Well, Luz. That was pretty clever. For a human."

Luz: "That's a weird thing for another human to say."

Woman: "Oh dear child."

The woman smirks and removes a bandanna, revealing very pointy ears.

Woman: "I'm not like any of you."

This got Y/N's attention as the boy finally tuned in to the conversation, watching as the woman climbed on top of a table and announced herself.

Eda: "I am Eda, the Owl Lady!"
