Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and a Warden

Lucia: "Did we find a hoarder's secret stash?"

Luz: "Woah. I thought I had a lot of weird stuff, but this..."

She held a... thing, with the body of an plush alligator, the head of a baby doll, a coat hanger going through it's head, and a fork for one of it's arms.

Luz: "This is impressive."

The moment she took her eye off the thing, it started reaching out for her before she was startled by a voice outside and fell to the floor.

??: "You're back."

Lucia picked Luz up to make her stand up as Y/N opened the curtain slightly, seeing a woman with massive, massive... hair wrapped in a green bandanna, and the tiny owl they followed here. Luz and Lucia walked to stand behind him to see as well. They watched as the owl jumped onto the end of the woman's staff, being spun around by the woman's hand, and turn into a wood sculpture. Luz and Y/N gasped, and even Lucia couldn't help but stare in shock. The woman started pulling out random items from her bag and throwing them away. First a phone.

Woman: "Garbage."

Y/N: "That's my phone that I lost last week."

A diamond ring.

Woman: "Garbage."

Lucia: "Is that real?"

A shiny, golden chalice that played a holy sound. It had a switch on the bottom, so it's actually just a very fancy lamp.

Woman: "Garbage."

Y/N: "Cool."

The woman gasped and pulled out a pair of pop out eye glasses, then put them on.

Woman: "Now this will make me rich!"

She then pulled out an all too familiar book, causing Luz to gasp.

Woman: "And this... meh, this will make good kindling."

The woman hovered the book above a lit candle to burn it. Luz gasped in horror and jumped out, grabbing the book from the stranger's hand.

Luz: "'Scuse me, sorry, that's mine, thank you!"

She ran back to Lucia and Y/N who were already waiting for her by the door, but before they could leave, the door closed and folded in on itself in the form of a suitcase, leaving them trapped.

Woman: "You're not going anywhere."

She glared at the kids, taking off her joke glasses. Luz panicked and shoved the book in her bag, then raised the tarp and slid under it with the other two. They ran but didn't get far as they found themselves at the edge of a cliff overseeing some kind of weird city. There were many strange creatures, all of which frightened Luz, disgusted Lucia, and left Y/N in a sense of wonder and excitement. He didn't even notice Luz back up and almost being bitten by a fairy if not for Lucia slapping it away, only snapping out of his amazed trance by Lucia picking him up again and bringing him back to the tent where Luz was already begging the woman to spare them.

Luz: "I'm so sorry! I just wanted my book! If you're gonna eat my skin, just make it quick! Just do it now!"

Lucia grabbed her back from her bag, standing threateningly between her sister and the strange woman.

Lucia: "Try it. We'll see how I can rearrange your skeleton."

The woman raised her hands in mock surrender.

Woman: "Calm down, bad girl. I'm not gonna eat a potential costumer."

All of a sudden, the air became much lighter as Luz looked confused at the woman while Lucia still stood her guard. Y/N was vibrating in place with a goofy smile, clearly excited. First she gets a green croc.
