"You seemed like you needed it. If you can't rest, then you should have the next best thing."

Her eyes softened. A moment of silence passed as she looked back to the cup warming her hands.

"Thank you."

I smiled. "Take it easy. Call me when you need me."

At that, I left her office. But not without one last glance her way. A sense of victory, if not strangely warm, swelled in my chest.

"Do you have... a seven?"

"No."

"What do you mean, no? I literally just saw it in your hand—"

"Why are you looking at my cards? That's cheating."

"It's not my fault you're terrible at hiding them— you're practically waving it around. Hand it over."

"No."

"Dude, that's not even how the game works—"

"I don't have one."

"I asked for seven anyway. Give it."

Wooin's eyes narrowed. "I don't have it."

"I saw it."

"You're not supposed to look."

"You—" Jisuk let out a frustrated groan.

Here we three sat, at each corner of the same hospital bed and holding a handout of cards. Jisuk was currently winning a game of go-fish, I in second, and Wooin in last.

To explain how we got here, let's just say these two were still grumpy about being in the same room as each other, and I had the wonderful thought that, perhaps all we needed was an ice breaker! That ice breaker being a game of go-fish.

The last game we tried, Uno, ended horribly.

Granted, I haven't met a lot of people, but I've never seen anyone so... horrible at card games as Wooin.

No, seriously, I didn't even know it was possible to be bad at a game like go-fish, and yet here we are.

As for Jisuk, he's been consistently winning every game he touches. He didn't even know what go-fish was until I told him the rules, and he's still winning.

I've never felt so in the middle before.

In a way, this was a little endearing. For a moment during our brawl in Uno earlier, Wooin and Jisuk actually seemed to get along, which was mostly because I was in the lead... until Jisuk moved up and turned on Wooin, resulting in Wooin getting annoyed at him, and things spiraling from there...

Fun stuff.

If this doesn't work... dare I say we should play Monopoly next...

Kayden's psychic seemed to kick in as I thought that, and he sent me a narrowed look.

Right as they activated their numen for the fifth time today to fight, the door to our room swung open, and Ihyuk, along with Seongha Park stepped in.

Ihyuk seemed exasperated, folding his arms in with an audible sigh. "You're seriously fighting again, over a game of cards?"

"You're getting quicker." Jisuk slumped, looking as careless as ever.

"Jisuk. What did you do this time—"
