Zantetsu's words involuntarily repeated itself in my head with each step I took.
As a mercenary, it's only natural for me to know how to suppress emotions and cast aside personal sentiments.
But this...
This made me just a little nervous.
I suppose if I value my life then I should just cooperate. I don't really think this is about money anymore, no. It's about making out of this alive.
Just who is this woman anyway?
Such words I thought to myself when I turned down the corridor on my left.
Only meters ahead were two large, intricately detailed, and heavy doors waiting to be opened.
When I stopped to look at it for a moment, I realized that the sound of the piano had come from this room, just ahead of me.
Another realization I had was that this so-called "Number Zero" woman was also just ahead.
All of the rumors and articles I've ever heard and seen of her had decided to flood my mind then and there, and my posture straightened with a twinge of fear.
Number Zero, the faceless woman with an ability so advanced and unlike any other that only led people to theorize she may have more than what she's publicly shown.
A woman with so much power and influence and terrifying menace that even her closest subordinates shiver at the mention of her name.
And here I am, being given the chance to see her face and hear her voice.
I truly wonder what I did that intrigued her enough to meet me in person.
ambling forward, I placed a wavering hand on the door handle and tried valiantly to gather my bearings.
Then, with a deep breath and cleansing of the mind, I pulled the door open.

JIWOO'S POV:
.
.
I had another dream last night.
Again, it had to do with Aunt Ha-eun and some... strangely familiar building.
There was a man in a dark suit who had pierced my aunt's stomach with numen and choked me soon after.
What disturbs me the most about this is that it— no... they are all so vivid. Even many days after dreaming those dreams, I can still remember the faces, the words, everything.
If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that these were lost memories or possibly even someone else's.
But of course that's not it.
Currently, I was nearing the entrance of my school and crossing the newly shoveled pathway.
Students scattered about the courtyard, conversing with one another whilst continuing toward the entrance.
The sky today was bleary white, but the sun was peaking through and offered some bit of semblance from the chilling cold.
Last night's storm was no joke. It had snowed heaps and piles by the time I woke up and peered out my window, I almost thought that I was in Antarctica or something.
Certainly seemed like it to my dumbfounded morning brain.
But then, of course, Kayden had set me straight and told me that I was indeed in Korea.
