Camila

"Stay here today, I don't want any issues with Taylor," Austin says as he slips his shoes on at the front door.

"What am I supposed to do here?" I scoff at him.

"I don't know. Watch a movie, masturbate, go to the pool, just stay away from the business side " he says walking out the front door.

I sigh laying back onto the bed. The pool did sound nice but it was so early still. I grabbed Austin's guitar and played a few chords. The music came to me like a fever dream, downloading into my head. I played around with it for a while, not making any music.

I love music. I've made tons of it. Shawn doesn't know though. I sigh get up and decide to go to the pool. Shawn wouldn't be back till later even through the lunch break. Changing into a swimsuit I grabbed a towel and headed outside. The pool was empty besides an older man reading a book in the hot tub. I sat the towel down and applied tanning oil. My skin was so light this summer. Laying back in on the chair I closed my eyes and relaxed.

Whenever Austin hit me he always did it out of stress but I was able to hide it quickly. But in a Bikini was hard considering the multiple areas he has  hit recently. But nobody was here and even so, they are faded.

That's how normal relationships work, that's how my mom and dad did and so forth. I needed to be the woman. I need to provide for my man. It's just taking me a little longer to get used to it. I needed to get it together or he's not going to want to marry me. Why's this have to be so hard? I just want to be good, I just want to be known as a good person.

I open my eyes and scroll through my phone. More time has passed than I thought and I realized it was close to lunch. A text came through from Austin.

Austin: goin out to lunch, don't wait around for me until tonight

I sigh and throw my phone onto the chair next to me. I deduced that it was Time for a dip into the pool. I make my way to the end and sit down letting my feet dangle in the water. Why does my life have to be complicated? I needed to be a better person. I heard the pool gate open but I didn't bother looking up. Nobody even knows me here. I splash the water with my feet as a shadow is cast over me.

"Is this set taken ?" a feminine voices asks

I shake my head and pay no mind, people can be friendly without it being weird

The woman then sits down right next to me and lowers her feet into the pool. I glance over and my eyes almost leave their sockets.

"How's your morning been"Taylor asks me

I shake my head and scoot away from her. If Shawn saw me talking to her I'd get in so much shit.

"Camila" she hums

The way she says my name is almost soothing. In a way safe.

"We shouldn't be talking " I say looking at the water

"Why not," She says splashing her feet

"I'm not supposed to talk to you," I say avoiding her

"Pfft why not," she says

"Cause what you Did yesterday " I hmm

Taylor is quiet for a moment before speaking up.

"I didn't do shit yesterday," she says with hints of anger in her voice

I hear the pool gate open and I see Shawn standing there.

My stomach feels wheezy and I know what I did.

"Don't go" Taylor says placing her hand on mine

I pull my hand back and stand up.

"Let's go, now," Shawn says with anger laced in his words

I nodded and made my way over grabbing my towel and phone. On my way out Shawn grabs me and pushes me outside the fence.

"What the fuck were you going talking to her," he asks in the elevator ride up

"Nothing she just sat down and said hi," I said

"Bullshit" he swears as we enter our room.

"Shawn I swear nothing was said" I beg knowing hes going to get mad. My fear can be tasted in my mouth

"You need to stay away from her" he seethes once we enter the room.

I glance over at him confused as to why he's so annoyed that I'd be talking to Taylor.

"Shawn what's the issue if I talk to her if anything it would benefit you," I say

Shawn spun around with anger in his eyes.

"It doesn't fucking matter Karla" he raises his voice

I glance back at the open door and push it shut, nobody needs to hear anything in here, they wouldn't understand.

"Shawn please just see it for a second, if I can talk to her maybe I could get you more set time," I say

He stops for a second.

"No leave it be," he says before walking out and slamming the door

I just want a friend.

I sigh and make my way over to the suitcases. I better get packing. We leave tomorrow morning on the road. Shawn has a mixture of tour buses and hotels where Taylor is staying in a hotel every night.

Must be fucking nice.

Suddenly there's a knock on the door and I freeze. Who would even be knocking on this door? I make my way over and look through the peephole and see Taylor.

Fuck

Nope

I'm not doing this. I walk away from the door and make my way back to packing.

I needed to stay clear of her or she is going to cause trouble.
