One Night

XVI- first come , first serve?

"Wait a damn minute . You were an actress right?" I asked and she halted , her mouth open ready to take another bite . I smiled at how cute she looked and almost immediately she embarrassingly closes her mouth .

"Yeah what about it ?" She asks keeping her sandwich down .

"Why don't you audition ?" I asked and her eyes grew wide in confusion "I can't I am not an actress anymo-"

"Yes but you can come back in the industry . If you pass the audition , maybe hyung will appoint you under the company" I said and i saw her eyes become weary .

"Your brother was in Coma , so you left acting , this is an another chance . You can relive your dream", I said as she zoned out .

"I don't know" she said and I sighed and pulled her chair closer to mine making the chair form a screeching sound . Everyone looked at us as I apologised to them .

I return my focus on y/n , she was already staring at me "My love , your life is giving you another chance to live your dream . So you should accept it and live your dream . This is a great opportunity and moreover you have read the novel , you will not act poorly and do justice to the writer . You will be best" I said as she looked deep in my eyes .

She smiled "I'll think about it and tell you tomorrow" She says and I nod .

"Let me just call hyung and tell him" I said standing and walking away .

Y/N's Pov

As soon as he walked away , I took my phone out and dialed jungkook . Not even a second passed away and he picked up the call .

"Should I come pick you up ?" He asks right away making me laugh in this tense situation .

"No . I-you remember that series you were telling me about , that namjoon is adapting from the book ?" I asked and I heard him hum .

"Taehyung just suggested me to audition for it" I said as I heard the sound of coughing from the other side .

"Yo drink some water"

"WHAT THE FUCK ?" He yelled making me pull the phone away from my phone.

"Yeah . Should I do it? I just called to ask that ?" I asked.

"Of course you should . Sweetheart I have heard you talk about dreaming of becoming an actress since we were kids . You couldn't continue because jimin hyung fell into coma but you can now . This is your second chance . You can't give up on it" he said as I smiled .

"Okay so I'll audition"

"Yes you should" he says .

"I'll hang up . Have fun" I said .

"Yeah you too sweetheart" He said and I hung up .

Taehyung came exactly 2 minutes later .

He came and sat next to me on the chair "I'll audition" I said as his eyes widened .

"Wha-weren't you gonna decide till tomorrow?" He asked and I just smiled "I just need a little guidance . I am ready to audition . Just tell me when and where" I said and he broke out in a huge smile.

"Oh my god that's brilliant . He says he's busy the whole week and asked if you wanted to head over to the studio now and give your audition , but I told him you'll decide till tomorrow , so i-but we can go now"

"No today is supposed to be a date" I said but he smiled and took my hand in his "You getting a chance to relive your dream is much more to me . If we push the date today I don't know when we'll get a chance . And moreover if you pass the audition we can have much more dates" he said and I chuckled .

"Let's head over once we are done with the lunch" he said and I nodded.

...

I can't do it . I am way too nervous .

"Hey y/n are you nervous?" Namjoom asked as his voice blasted out of the speaker making me flinch .

I was in his studio , I stood in a small room which was covered with glass all around while he stood outside the glass room, in a all too different room monitoring.

"Yeah I am" I said my face hung low .

"Should I call jungkook ?" He asked and my head jerked up .

I nodded desperately.

A few minutes passed "He said he is on his way" namjoon voice echoed in the room, the news making me smile .

28 minutes passed as I sat on the ground . Knees against my chest while my head rested on my knees . My hands were balled in a fist to avoid shaking of hands .

Taehyung's Pov

Do you understand the pain of seeing your crush being nervous , and calling her bestfriend to calm her down so that she can resume her activities?

Important fact left out: Crush like you atleast 50 percent.

And what i hate the most is THAT GUY IS ON A DATE and yet when namjoon hyung called him and told him y/n is nervous while giving her audition and she wants him there , he didn't take a minute to hesitate and replied with 'I am on my way.'

What kind of friendship do they have? Is it available on Amazon? And will I get y/n as a buy 1 get 1 free offer?

The door bursted open making me flinch . Jungkook entered and he looked around for what I think y/n .

"Yo lil broth-" without even greeting hyung , jungkook rushed in the small glass room .

As soon as y/n felt his presence , she instantly got up and hugged him .

"Oh you're the date aren't you ?" I turned to the voice . To see a girl with blonde hair which was in a high ponytail , light makeup and a diesel white crop top with black flare pants . She didn't look at me . She looked at the glass from which the two were visible , and smiled innocently.

"I am , you are ?" I asked and she finally turns to me . She flashes her bunny smile .

"I am Nayeon , his date" She said and my eyes widened .

"But like we are just hanging out . We both don't wanna date each other . I like someone else and he likes someone else too" She says and I look back at Jungkook .

'Does that mean he doesn't like her?'

'What all girls does he know apart from y/n ?'

'Does he even know any girls ?'

'Oh my god maybe it's a guy . Is he gay?'

I looked at them , he made her stand in front of the mic . And kissed her forehead before walking back out .

"Yo hyung" he said as he stood next to me .

"Hi" he said and I let out a small smile "Hi" I responded .

"Hey y/n you ready ?" Namjoon asks , and I look over in the glass .

She took a deep breath , and brought her wrist near her nose . She smiled before putting it back down and looking at the script .

"I am ready" She says , radiating confidence .

Jungkook always came when y/n was mentioned . And y/n didn't fail to do the same . They both were always there for each other . Without a fail and that is what I envy . The fact that he is the first one to be called when she's nervous because only he can cheer her up and make her feel better . That hurts when you have been in love with a girl since you were 10 . I met her first . Wasn't I supposed to get her? Didn't the saying go something like first come , first serve?
