As much as I want to enjoy the atmosphere, I can't. I kept on glancing my watch and the balcony, kung saan ko siya nakita kanina.

I looked at the other side hoping to find her there, when someone blocked my view.

"Hi, guys!" Vanessa, an ex-girlfriend of mine, approached our table.

"Here, you can sit here."

She sat across my chair while I continued being anxious. I licked my lips and sigh heavily. I am a hopeless case, I could feel it.

"May boyfriend ka na ba Vanessa?" One of my friends asked.

She giggled and I looked at her, our eyes met and she giggled more. Looking at it now, I don't even know why I had relationships with different girls. Am I really that asshole and horny?

"Wala pa, pero may gusto sana akong balikan." She said seriously while looking at me. Nagkantyawan ang mga kasamahan namin.

"Gaston, oh! Balikan na daw!" Our table became louder with their teasing.

"Hey….stop. Nakakahiya!" She looks so shy yet so happy with the teasing.

I only smiled a little bit at mas lalo silang nag ingay.

Then Peter interrupted their teasing. "Gaston isn't in a relationship right now 'cause he is moving on. Nabasted kasi!" He must be so drunk 'cause he laughed so hysterically after.

Then someone broke the silence. "Impossible, Gaston was never in a serious relationship. At hindi pa yan nanliligaw."

Then Vanessa spoke. "She is right, Peter. Wala pang nililigawan si Gaston." She laughed at the end a little bit just to ease the tension.

But Peter didn't stop there. "And he is loyal to her, kaya nga hindi na nambababae at minsan na lang mag bar." He stopped and pointed out Vanessa. "Kaya Vanessa, wala kang pag asa. Tinali na niya sarili niya sa babaeng hindi siya gusto!" Then he laughed again.

Mas lalong tumahimik ang table namin at napatingin na sa akin lahat, I am not sure if what he said is good for me or not. I want to stop the teasing but I am not sure if revealing to these people that I am in love with someone who can't love me back could benefit me.

I breathe in deeply and slowly, Peter's laugh died. I looked at him piercingly, tumingin ako sa cellphone ko at nakitang malapit ng mag alas onse. I should go home now.

I smiled a little bit.

"I'll go home first. Maiwan ko na kayo dito." I looked at Peter who swallowed hard.

I exited our table just like that, with them still eyeing me as I made my way to the sea of people dancing. Some of my friends greeted me along the way hanggang sa tuluyan na akong nakalabas.

I was just about to exit the bar when I saw her eyeing me piercingly from the side of the road. For some reason, there's a different take on how she looked at me. She looked so infuriated, tila ba may malaki akong kasalanan sa kanya.

We never talk about other things again aside from school and internship so I do not know if I should approach her this time.

Why is she acting like this suddenly? Why is she angry this time?

I exited the bar and inhaled deeply. I looked at her back from a distance but I could almost feel the anger she was emitting. Mixed with curiosity and feeling guilty for whatever I did, tuluyan akong lumapit sa kanya.
