Getting Caught

Chaeyoung's POV:

I arrived earlier than expected at the restaurant. I called in to make a reservation earlier that day and chose to have the VIP room so that no one will see us in case we will create a scene.  I was checking the menus when someone knock on the door. The waiter who assisted me earlier is the one who opened the door for Mina.

"Thank you". Mina said before the waiter closed it.  "You arrived early?", Mina asked me.

"Yes". I simply answered her. "Do you already placed an order"? She continuously asked me. 

"No. We're actually waiting for one person who's joining us today. Sorry if I only told you this, but no worries, you also know her". I answered. "Oh okay. No problem", Mina replied.

After 5 minutes, someone knocks on the door of the VIP room where we're staying. When the door opens, Mina immediately looks up to it and shock was visible in her eyes. She immediately stood up and look at me as well. I, on the other hand, calmly stood up and face the other person that I'd invited. 

"Hello, Sakura. Fancy meeting you. I understand that you are my wife's best friend when she is still in Japan and I am thrilled to finally meet you. Why are you still standing there? Come inside and sit beside my wife so we can start our dinner", I said but my eyes keep on looking at both Mina and Sakura who didn't know how to react nor do seeing us in one room.

After we are all seated, we keep silent until I decided to order. We are still in that scenario until our food arrives. Looking at their faces, I smile with my dimple visible and tell them, "Why don't we start to dig in? It's not good to wait for the food until it gets cold.".

We started to eat and after, I ordered a wine and dessert. Once done, I started to tell them the reason why all of us are there. 

"Uhm, well, as you know Ms. Sakura I called you earlier today to have dinner with me since I found out that you're struggling to look for clients for sponsorship and are already on the verge of bankruptcy. You are asking to have a meeting with us, rather, with me. I am unfamiliar with you first not until I recalled my wife telling me a story about her best friend in Japan. That's the time that I recall the cute story between the two of you. I am excited to know that my wife still keeping in touch with all of her friends, not only those in our circle of friends. That's why, I thought that this is the perfect opportunity to have a conversation with you and at the same time treat you to dinner. What can you say, my love? I was able to find your other best friend". Chaeyoung, now looking at her nervous wife. 

"Uh, ye-yes of course my love! I-I-I appreciate your effort. That's so thoughtful of you!", Mina stuttering said.

"You're welcome, my love!" Chaeyoung smiles widely. "How about you, Ms. Sakura? Are you not grateful that I was able to finally connect you with your best friend here?" Chaeyoung stared at Sakura.

Although she feels awkward and embarrassed, she noddingly said, "Yes, I'm grateful, Chaeyoung-ssi". 

There's a moment of silence after Sakura answered Chaeyoung. Then without warning, "Actually, that's not just the reason why we are here. As you know, I and my wife has been married for 6 years now and I am so happy that she's my other half. At first, we struggle a lot, but because of my promise, I work hard to fulfill it. Luckily, I made it and now, I promised my wife here, that I am now focusing my attention on her. I know that I lack showing her my love and attention compared to the times that we are not yet married. But I didn't know that this will be the reason for her to do something horrible, horrible I must say and the perfect word to describe it, since I saw her kissing someone who's not me. Do you know who's that person?" Chaeyoung asked while looking at Sakura and then at Mina.
