Third Person's P.O.V.

There was only one Kim family in all of Pialta, residing in the east of the town. If one were to visit their home, they'd have to travel towards St. John's cathedral and take a left down by the aisle of roses that grew around Madame Elm's manor and tread far away from the hubbub of the town square. They were rich but the sociable kind, generations of grandeur and glorious history famed them as one of the esteemed families in Pialta.

Baron Kim Seojung was an upstanding man who believed in honest work and that is a title he holds till this day in Pialta. Since he had achieved adulthood, he had spent his time in assuring that his business flourished far and wide, ensured that his family had access to every luxury and took care of his wife and four children dearly.

His three daughters and son were the jewels of his life. For his daughters, he had decided early on that even in marriage, they would be sent to families with wealth and kept in utmost care. The eldest, Jang-mi, was married to the Baron of Erstshire, the second daughter, Ji-hye, was married to the Baron of Walden while the third sister, Ji-sul, had just turned twenty-two and hence the family was looking for an appropriate suitor for her.

The youngest in the Kim family was Seok-jin, he was still studying, a nineteen year old university student pursuing medicine, and although their father never spoke about it out loud but one could easily trace the pride in his eyes whenever people mentioned about what an exceptionally gentle, kind and intelligent boy Seokjin had turned out to be.

"The party starts at six Ji-sul, make sure to dress in your best silks and laces! There'll be many of those esteemed young men at the Heatherby's tonight!" Mrs Kim's shrill voice echoed through the second storey of their mansion. She was busy doing her makeup, while her maid was busy fixing up her hair "ah Martha, hurry downstairs and check if the boy's ready or not...I swear I'm goin' to die due to shortage of breath someday in this house" she sighed choosing the neck piece she wanted to wear and Martha instantly attended to help her wear it "and tell Liam to get the carriage ready for us".

The young maid went off to do as told and Mrs Kim quickly wore the earrings, checking herself in the mirror swiftly before heading towards Ji-sul's room.

"Aren't you done yet darling?" She went where the girls' maid was just tying the silken belt around Ji-sul's slim waist "and put that cloche hat on, the colour looks good on her" Mrs Kim instructed, her eyes glued on her daughter as she ensured she looked all perfect for the ball.

"Mumma...I heard Prissy Alrich is coming to the party too! Didn't her mother say she had found a suitor already?" Ji-sul asked putting another dab of gloss on her lips and checked her pretty reflection on the mirror in front.

"Ah dearie I worry about you" she patted off the creases on the silk on her waist "didn't I tell you why this party is very important? It's not every day that a lord attends a party in Pialta...so keep your eyes and ears open tonight okay?"

"Lizzy said she saw him visit the cathedral yesterday" she smiled, her cheeks blushing naturally "said he's the best possible suitor in town, rich and handsome...I'm so eager to see him too!"

"That's not going to happen until we get there, right?" A voice popped at the door and Ji-sul made a face at her brother.

"Not like you're going to draw any attention at the ball dressed like a clergyman" she scoffed eyeing his simple black tux.

Mrs Kim smiled to hear their usual banter "I've faith in my children, ya'll are too pretty to not draw attention."

The lord who had sent uproar across the town of Pialta had recently arrived there, and as customary among the crowds of the town, words about this influential and striking new personality took air.
