I felt myself fainting from my pain

I looked down on my lifeless body, placed my hand on my waist, and then looked back on my hand. Still as I expected, blood was drifting out... Continuously like a river of madness...
I took off my torn jacket_ and left myself wearing a bloody dirty shirt_ and squeezed it around my deep wound.

I almost screamed out of pain before I spotted a light at the edge of the forest on my left that made me swallow it. Unfortunately, more lights followed...

"Wolves", I whispered, trembling...

I didn't know if I was trembling from fear, or from the cold that bit every side of my bloody body.
Without hesitation, and without thinking, I stood on my legs_ ignoring my severe pain_ and ran.
Actually I walked few steps and fell on my face. I squealed.
I retried, stood up, walked and then dropped on my face. I screamed loudly.
I looked at my wound. It was getting worse.

My shirt was getting darker and splashed with blood every time I moved. I did not know what to do...
I shivered from head to toes as I was lost again in my thoughts, imaging myself caught by their claws.

Never..., I told myself. This won't happen.

My face was covered with mud and blood, and my sight was getting foggy. My wound was screaming painfully. I knew I can move no more.

All what I wanted is to hide in a safe place, a place where they won't find me, and tear me apart...
But where?! I asked myself nervously in a hurry.
Quickly, I searched the area around while rolling my eyes, barely that I can see anything, only the ground near me and some old naked trees.

My hope of finding a place vanished right away when my head began spinning like a wild tornado. As if something was running and jumping hysterically inside my head. I closed my eyes to relax for seconds.
Then, low sounds and roars rang in my ear. I opened my eyes widely_ startled.

They're coming, I thought, almost laughing with fear.

I raised my head quickly and looked back. The lights were getting closer and shinier.
I had no time. I grabbed up all of energy left in my wimpish body, and stood up hurriedly. Dizzyingly, I lost my balance, skipped sharply to my left, bumped into a tree and fell to the ground. I nearly swooned.
I hugged the gray frail trunk of the tree_ praying that my heavy-heavy weight won't bust it_ and then stood on my feet shivering, like a baby being helped by his parent to walk his first steps...

My legs were shaking so bad_ but not from fear_ as I tried to stand up still. I explored the place in a rush, looked at my right and saw berry bushes, short grasses, and naked trees. There was no sign of life.. I wondered were could animals hide in such a naked forest.
Then an idea came to my mind.

Caves...

There must be caves somewhere, I whispered to myself_ afraid that the furious wind would steal my voice and race with it through the deathly forest, to their ears.
Unfortunately, the rain was heavy that I barely saw anything. I squinted through the rain hoping of seeing any sign of a cave.
Few seconds of scanning, I saw something. I squeezed my eyes on what I spotted, and there it is! Finally! I cheered with glee, hoping I could reach it before the arrival of the bloody-teeth creatures.
My joy and hope were a great advance in helping me push myself forward toward what I assumed to be the cave.

I pushed myself so fast that I almost flew in the humid air.
I jogged and hopped_ and hopped and jogged few meters forward flying with joy and happiness.
I reached it, and held my breathe for a second.
I hopped slowly on my left leg few inches forward. The feeling of relief hugged my heart, as it overpowered my pain which left my trembling body for few moments.

Suddenly, I stood still just in time as a swifted arrow stinging its target, when I noticed something terrible. As I glanced quietly through the heavy coat of rain, I realized that I was wrong about what I spotted earlier.l.
Idiot... I murmured madly, almost regretting my fast decision of rushing blindly through the rain.

Please,... Just don't let it be...., I just couldn't complete my thoughts. My lips were quivering so bad.
.... I beg you God.Please don't let it be what I'm bloody thinking about...

My chest raised and lowered quickly like a machine of an old factory, with my heart pounding rapidly I was afraid it would burst in any second...

Unexpectedly, something got closer, as if on purpose to make me recognize it, before I plan to do any other move.

Something appeared, so close, so clear, so... terrifying...
Despite of the heavy rain, of the roaring wind, of my foggy sight.I saw him clearly...
I was frightened almost to death.

He was covered by heavy grey fury clothes, thick enough to protect his thin body from the stinging cold and icy wind; but still I knew it without any doubt... He was strong and muscled, enough to kill a beast with his bare hands... he was stronger than I_ who was weak enough to be blown by his heavy loud breathe..
His head was covered with thick wavy black hair_ dark as the darkness in a nightmare.

He was tall, strong, mighty, monstrous, freakish... he was a beast..
I looked at him as he was getting clearer every second.

My lifeless body shivered and trembled as I saw his face. A rush of dread raced down my back. I haven't faced any of them_ face to face_ in my whole life.
I was used to know them by their names.

His face was white like snow and pale as the dead . His left cheek was scratched by two or three deep red bright stripes which were the only thing that disturbed the paleness of his white skin.
His bloody red cracked lips were tightly steeked_ so firmly that seemed they were shut their whole life...
They seemed screaming thirsty for blood.

But what made my body shiver all at once, that he was staring at me furiously, with his wild wide eyes filled with hatred. His looks stroked my heart at once like poisoned arrows, and left me breathless.

His eyes were cold as ice... Blue as the sea.. Clear as the sky... Wild like a beast's...Pellucid as a bright shiny crystal...

He was staring at me without moving any muscle. The only sign of life in his monstrous body was his chest that slowly raised and lowered... _up and down... up and down... so calmly as if preparing to vault and snatch my soul at once..

No doubt. I knew who he was...

He was one of them...

He was a WOLF...
