"Sarah," Wheezie grinned ear to ear at the sight of her sister. "This is Blake," she pulls her friend towards his elbow so he was standing right beside her.

Sarah smiled at the two while Blake groaned, "so hot. I swear there is something about you Cam—" he was cut off when Kaden smacked him not so subtly in the back of his head. He cleared his throat, giving her a cheeky grin, "what I meant to say is, it's really nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you!"

"As have I," the blonde chuckled, glancing at Kaden who was just standing there, watching them with a bored look on his face.

"Well?" Blake turned to Kaden, "aren't you going to be a gentleman and offer the lady a drink? Receive her like a proper guest? She's Wheezie's sister!"

Kaden dragged his annoyed eyes to Sarah who was already looking at him. "There's a fridge in the kitchen," he pointed towards a door behind them, "it's not locked or anything so suit yourself."

"It's okay," Sarah waved him off, "I'm not really—"

"— Great." He didn't bother letting her finish as he walked towards the couch and sat down, ignoring the three people in the room.

Blake rolled his eyes. "Don't mind my brother. K's a dick at first but he's actually really nice when you get to know him." He scratched the back of his neck, wincing at the knowing look Wheezie was sending him, "I mean, he's not exactly nice nice but he's less of a dick, for sure."

"We'll leave you two alone," Wheezie took a step towards the room, "go to Blake's room."

"Yep," Blake nodded in agreement making Kaden glance away from the TV for only one second, "keep it PG."

"Oh, get fucked," Blake rolled his eyes, knowing he was not being serious. He glanced at Wheezie whose cheeks were as red as they could get. Even Sarah seemed taken aback by the words that left both the boys' mouths.

"You'll get used to it," Wheezie whispered to her sister before she was dragged away by Blake.

Sarah stood a good distance away from the couch as she took in the place. It was obviously very different from her house but she liked it. It wasn't too small but not too big either. And it didn't scream 'pogue' like the other houses in the cut. But it wasn't surprising for anyone since Kaden worked for Ward Cameron, he made good money.

"Blake's cute."

"Sure," Kaden's tone was filled with amusement for the first time since she's spoken to him.

"What," Sarah bit her lip, "I really think that he is." Before she could stop herself, she went on, "he kind of looks like you."

Kaden looked away from the TV, his fingers halting on the controller. He narrowed his eyes at the blonde, "so you think I'm cute?"

"I—" Sarah blinked, "that's not what I meant."

"Sure, whatever," he shook his head, focusing back on his game. Sarah watched his fingers moving furiously on the controller as he played. It intrigued her for some reason.

She had seen him sit and work for hours without taking a break in her father's office. For the longest time, she thought that Kaden was a serious hardworking kind of guy. But then she had seen him sell drugs with Rafe.

That made her question her first opinion about him. And then when she witnessed him beat Topper, she knew he was not at all the guy sitting around in Ward's office. It made her realize that all of it was just for show.

Kaden was not a good guy— Sarah figured. No matter how much Ward talked about him during dinner, praising the teenager's hard work.

Yet now she was seeing him sitting and playing some stupid game. She could not bring herself to figure him out entirely.
