It's Chinese New Year

And I tried not to give in

I spent the whole day

Thinking of ways to celebrate

By my wallet said no

And I'm left on my own

While the fireworks

Light up the sky outside

In the end

Like any Celebration

Every year, there was only me

And an empty house

I thought this was a thing from the past

I thought I was better

But here I am giving into Loneliness

It grabs me by the wrists

And threatens to stick around

Until my dying days

I'm not better
