Summary:
Wednesday and Enid are partnered up for class work. Enid is stressed and Wednesday finds it really amusing.

"Can you help please?" Enid demands with a hint of fear in her voice, not wanting to upset her dark haired classmate.

Since the appearance of the newest student at Nevermore Academy (and the blonde's new roommate) Wednesday Addams, Enid's been more stressed than usual. She's walking on egg shells around the shorter girl as Enid's terrified of what she could be planning. The taller girl has been hearing the rumours about her and why she was expelled from her old school, and that has only increased her paranoia.

"I hear she set the school on fire."
"Well I heard she dissected the class hamster in front of everyone!"
The real reason she was expelled had finally made its course to Enid and it was worse then what everyone else was saying, if that was possible.

"Attempted murder?? Is she a serial killer?? Am I sharing my room with a serial killer???" Enid wants to get to the bottom of this. Why has her principal put her with this insane person? Does she want her dead??

"Miss Sinclair, I think it's a great way to leave your comfort zone. You two are so different and that's why you're a perfect match! Trust me, would I ever purposefully put my student in danger?" Principal Weems does her best to calm the blonde as she's in the principals office losing her mind. Those two words she used rings in Enids mind like an alarm she can't turn off. Perfect match...What does she mean?

"i'm busy." Wednesday answers with her familiar monotone voice. The short girl is too busy scoping out her classmates that she'll have to put up with for the rest of high school. Enid doesn't know what else to say at this point. She doesn't want to push this girl too much as she shares a room with her and could possibly be killed in her sleep. The dark haired girl failed to finish off that boy at her old school, who's to say she won't completely finish off someone here?

Perfect match, what a joke.

There's only 10 minutes left of class and the work isn't even half done. It would've been finished by now if Wednesday did her part, which she didn't. Everyone else in the class has finished the work or are just about to, and here these two completely different girls are with nothing to show. Enid's jaw is shut tight out of anger, stress and fear. She's trying very hard not to say something to upset Wednesday, though she's at her breaking point.

As a person who can transform into a wolf at will, she's learnt to control her anger. She must. Though surprisingly this has pushed her further to the edge of the cliff than she thought.

Out the corner of Enid's eye, she can now spot the monotone girl staring at her. Her breath catches in her throat and her body jolts. Enid hopes she didn't notice. She's definitely planning something, the bright girl affirms.

What's this? Enid can see the other girl has cracked a smile. Well, not exactly a smile, a smirk. An evil smirk. She likes seeing Enid stressed out over this work, she finds it quite amusing. The preppy girl is too nervous to say anything.

"5 more minutes!" The teacher announces. Enid will just have to suck it up and say something. She turns her head to Wednesday and sees her tiny smirk and her dark eyes, and Enid swore her heart skipped a beat. The blonde is now staring at this girl who has fire in her eyes, and ... she's actually very mesmerising? Enid's face heats up and is washed over by a scarlet blush.

"Can you help me?" Enid pushes out. Enid actually isn't too sure if she used the right words or not, as her mind is now filled with thoughts about this girl. How could she let her murderous class mate have an effect on her like this?

"Why should I?" Wednesday fights back, still in that monotone voice. That stupid, dark, monotone voice. Her dark eyes grew darker, if that was even possible. Enid needs to be brave and speak her mind or she'll regret it later on for not standing up for herself against her reluctant partner.

"We need to finish this otherwise we have to do it as homework. I don't really like doing homework and I have no time for it!" There, Enid's spoken her mind, part of it at least. The point is she got her words out, no matter how difficult it was to speak with the mysterious girls eyes on hers.

"And why are you too busy?" God, Wednesday will not give this girl a break. It's almost as if she's trying to get her to be aggressive back. Enid doesn't like the feeling in her stomach that she's getting from this girl. Is this fear? It doesn't feel like fear.

Enid doesn't want to answer that question, OR the question Wednesday has just inquired. However she won't get anywhere if she doesn't give an answer. She cannot sit in this uncomfortable silence any longer.

Enid mutters a response, though it's quite hushed.

"Speak up."

"I have theatre club."

Even though Enid is proud to do theatre, Wednesday has made her very embarrassed over this. Enid just died inside.

"You have theatre club?" Wednesday interrogates. Her smirk grows a tiny bit wider and more corrupt.

Enid's scarlet red cheeks just grew darker and spread more throughout her face. Why does Wednesday make her hate herself over the thing she loves the most? Her sunny disposition is being challenged and she can't tell if she likes it or not. Definitely not. She doesn't like it...Or does she?

And we're back to this intolerable silence. A million thoughts running miles in Enid's head. Wednesday won't break it, so here comes Enid to save the day.

"Do you want to know what we're doing in theatre club?" Enid proposes, in a tentative manner.

"Not particularly."

"Oh, okay."

Enid really wants to get up and run away. Why did she get the sudden urge to cry?

"Fine, tell me." the shorter girl can see the amount of pressure she's putting on the taller girl, so she'll let her off the hook just this once. Wednesday isn't known to laugh at all, except for when she's watching true crime, but something about this situation is so humorous to her. The lines are blurred to the blonde if she's about to make fun of her or if she's being genuine.

"We're doing Cats."

Wednesday is now the one holding back. She wants to laugh, but she doesn't want to create a scene at this point in time in the classroom. And there's something about this girl that makes Wednesday rather see her smile than bawl her eyes out in front of everyone. Though, it would be amusing.

"Fitting. I bet you play an exceptional cat." Wednesday entertains. It's a wolf joke. She's making a joke out of Enid. This is not exactly what Enid was aiming for when answering her question.

The glare that these two are sharing is intense. The tension is thick, so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Alright class, please turn your papers in and you can make your way out to the courtyard for lunch."

Thank god the teacher interrupted, Enid wouldn't have survived a second longer. Wednesday on the other hand, she loved seeing Enid flustered. The blush on her face was just a bonus.

Enid could tell the rest of her high school years were going to be excruciating with this calamitous girl.
