𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐇𝐈𝐒 way downstairs as he was struggling to fall asleep he felt like a dick for what he had said earlier,

But when he realised that the back door was opened he lost his train of thought and decided to see who had gone out.

"Lilly?" Ethan asked as he saw the girl who was sat on the floor,

Suddenly all of his wishes and wants for what he had to say to her were out of the window as he saw that she wasn't okay.

"You must be freezing," he added as he grabbed the nearest blanket as he went out and sat with her,

As he wrapped the blanket around her he noticed her tear stained cheeks causing the phrase "What's wrong?" To come out of his mouth.

"I'm sorry for being a shitty girlfriend," Lillian mumbled as she rested her head on his shoulder enjoying the embrace,

This was sad drunk Lillian, very different from horny drunk Lillian who was around just a few hours ago.

"You were a great girlfriend," the boy was quick to correct her as he sighed,

"You're saying that to make me feel better," the girl shot back as she looked up to him,

"No I'm saying that because it was true," the brunette explained as he used his thumb to wipe her cheek,

"You were there morning noon and night whenever I needed you." He added as he left his hand cupping her cheek for a second before he dropped his hand remembering that she was not his girlfriend anymore.

"What made you stop needing me?" The blonde asked unaware of how the boys heart broke at the question,

"I didn't want to be overbearing anymore," Ethan confessed as he looked up to the stars,

It him she was higher than ever in life and he was having to deal with all the insecurities of being one of the new kids on the block with university level hockey.

"You were never like that E," Lillian shook her head as she moved her hand out of the blanket and placed it on his chin forcing him to face her,

"Who knows, maybe now that we're friends again I'll start coming to you." The boy teased as he couldn't help but crack a smile,

"I'd like that," the girl nodded as she moved her hand back into the warmth of the blanket,

"Then you need to come to me too," the brunette pointed out as he wanted to go back to being her person,

"Deal," the blonde smiled as she agreed,

"Now can we please get you inside before you freeze," Ethan got up as he held out his hand for the girl to grab,

"Here we go," he added as he pulled them back inside,

"Does Mark know that you're down here?" The boy asked as he cocked his head shutting the door.

"Nope," Lillian popped her lips at the end as she shook her head,

"I snuck off when he fell asleep," she explained as she placed the blanket back on the couch,

"Let's get you back in there," the brunette motioned for her to follow him upstairs,

"You'd think that there was a bear in there," he added as he hear snores come from Marks room,

"Don't make me laugh!" The blonde warned as she reached over to hit him,

"Come on Lilly," Ethan mumbled as he walked to his room,
