Invite and going (corination)

Sam knew he was well known in Pontypandy but he was unaware to the movie Don had gone viral that he was well known elsewhere also. Though he tended to not dwell on it.

He was what his crew called a talkative person to those he knew but could become quiet unless leadering with others he didn't know.

It was a quiet Thursday May 4th in Pontypandy when Boyce walked in holding a letter and he walked into Steele's office after knocking as he knew that sometimes Sam would be in there discussing things with Steele. And not all of the discussions were about work.

Boyce was suprised to hear Sam say enter instead of Steele. He knew Steele was on duty, he had texted Steele to inform him he was on his way.

Boyce walked in and said "Sam where's Steele?"

"Quay" Sam replied "he be here shortly"

Boyce nodded and Sam smiled at Boyce before he said "the rest of the crew is upstairs playing uno with Jones"

"And your not?" Boyce asked

"Nah, she's not exactly wanting to see me right now" Sam sighed as Steele arrived back with Venus 2.0

Steele walked into his office and he wasn't to Suprised to see Sam sat in his chair but he had completely forget that Boyce was on his way to visit them as well.

"Norris this is for you and the crew including Jones" Boyce said as he gave him the letter and once the letter was opened Steele smiled and said "we'd just need some Newtown firefighters to cover incase though Horacio"

"Sorted that out" Boyce said and soon they all heard "Dad! Arnold set the kitchen alight and now he wants me to eat an apple"

Sam rubbed his face and said "in Steele's office"

I ran in and hid behind my dad who was sat on Steele's chair still

Arnold walked in and smiled at them all and said "Sam seen Jones?"

Sam smirked and said "sorry Arnold I really haven't also how did one set it alight?"

"Bread and noodles" Arnold sheepishly said as he followed Elvis out to the cut price store and I chuckled before she climbed into her dads lap

"Hello daddy!" I smiled

Sam kissed her head and said "you know grandad is here right?"

"Hey grandad and Boyce but daddy" I smiled

"Yes Jones?" He asked

"You know how you said I could have a chicken wrap?" I ask

"Yea I remember" Sam said

"Mummy said we've ran out of wraps" I smiled sweetly

"I didn't say that!" Penny said as she came downstairs

Steele chuckled and Boyce was looking confused. "I said we was going out for dinner and your dad just forgot" penny smiled "and anyway Charlie needs to be texted Sam"

Jones hugged Sam as he stood up with him still holding him. "I could take jones out on Neptune to collect him?" Sam smiled sweetly

"Yes please Mum" I smiled

"Okay you both can, though don't stay out to long" penny said as we went to Jupiter and clambered in

Steele sat down and showed penny the letter

Penny smiled and said "that be great but we'd need to find a hotel nearby"

"I have a feeling Boyce has done it also, and we can leave tomorrow afternoon to make sure we can be well rested for Saturday, though telling Jones before Saturday might be the best idea"

"Might do it tonight instead" Penny smiled "Ellie will be here in ten and I better see if the rest of the Jones's are done including Jones"

Steele laughed and said "have fun"

Penny smiled and said "we will" and she left the station and headed to the cafe where she was met with the rest of the Jones's

They headed into Newtown and enjoyed their meal and once home Sam and Penny both approached Jones about the letters content and Steele and Boyce did that with the rest of the crew upstairs once Ellie had clocked in and Arnold and Elvis had arrived back from the cut price store.

The next day was quite eventful. I wasn't exactly to happy about the long road trip. Though I was my parents child I was just still an eleven year old child and Steele mostly slept the way there as he was up half the night making sure everything they needed or required was sorted out so that Boyce wasn't left with it all and so Sam didn't take it all upon himself either.

Even though Sam had fallen asleep head on pennys shoulder he'd been grateful that Arnold was ready to answer any questions she could have about the whole coronation. Ellie and Penny were quietly discussing things to do on their days off together. Elvis was writing new music and writing a way to perfect his stew and Boyce thanks to the drive realised how close and tight knit and close the Pontypandy fire department was.

Once in London and checked in. They got the outfits ready for Saturday up and hung so that would be smart for the next day. Steele and Boyce were in a room, Arnold and Elvis in another, Ellie by herself in another one and the Jones family in a room together.

Sam and Penny knew their daughter would be much happier in a suit than in a dress and they had gotten her a black suit, same as Sam's but in a smaller size.

People on the day could say that they was similar but Sam and Penny knew they'd rather Jones have be comfortable and look smart at the coronation then just look smart.

They all slept well and had breakfast and had shower before getting changed and ready into their outfits. I held onto my dads hand as we exited the hotel and into the car we'd been allowed to borrow and once at Webmeister Abbey we all got out and I still had a grip on my dads hand as it was busy and also we were in London.

Finding our seats were quite hard due to the amount or people also trying to find their seats. We soon found them though and even though we was sat down I still kept a tight and vice like grip on my dads hand during it.

Soon the coronation started and everyone stood up to sing the national anthem and then sat down once they was allowed to.
