— What are you doing here? And what the hell is that? — Camilla asked after opening her door to face the footballer with two bags next to him

— I'm here to stay with you and one has my clothes since I don't plan on living anytime soon and the other there's some snacks and Fer's pasta. — He said entering her apartment and placing everything carefully to the side

— Pedri, what the fuck do you mean not leaving? — She asked running her hands through her hair

— It means I'm staying — He said before pulling her closer and hugging her tightly

The action caught her completely off guard, she wasn't expecting the gesture from the footballer, but it instantly made her feel somewhat better. She knew she needed company to get out of this funk she had trapped her own self in, but she was expecting it to be a few days from now when her friends got back.

— Luisa told me and I can't do anything about it, just tell you that there's no way I'm letting you be sad, we're going to celebrate your birthday the way you want to — He whispered to her ear still hugging her

Those words done the trick. She felt the few tears she had left in her escaping her eyes at the same time the footballer felt his hoodie getting wet. Pedri didn't think twice before wrapping his arms around her thighs and carrying her back to the couch, seating with her on his lap and continuing to hug her. She didn't want to let go and felt relief once she realized he was not letting go.

— Don't you have practice? — She asked removing her head from his neck, staring into his face

— I was doing extras all these time, they also take breaks during this time, all I have to do is the exercises at home until we return, so you're stuck with me — He smiled caressing her cheek and she nodded

— Are you sure? — She asked, the words she heard from him months ago coming back to her

— Yes. Why wouldn't I be? — He asked confused

— It's nothing — She gave him a fake smile that he didn't buy for a second

— Spill it, I know when you're faking.

— A few months ago, I heard you say somethings about me, they weren't the nicest. — She said and he started to think — At your house to Tomas. That I was vain... — He interrupted her

— That was at the beginning Mils. I won't lie and say I didn't think it, I met a lot of people since entering this new lifestyle and a lot had been like it. I admit I was wrong of judging you by how you dress and everything. As soon as I got to know you better I knew that was wrong. You're the opposite of anything the Pedri from the start thought.

— Ok. — She said sighing, letting the word sink in.

She could see in his eyes the sincerity in his voice, it was clear to her that he wasn't lying and that gave her some relief. Not only because it made her feel better but because she didn't feel so stupid for catching feelings for the footballer, even if he didn't feel the same, at least he didn't think the worst of her.
