Saylor knew she would never be able to forget what she had done, she would never be able to live her life pretending she never pulled that trigger but what she knew she had to always remember was that Sarah Cameron was alive because of her.

She had no regrets in saving her sisters life, she would do it over and over again. She just hated the way she had done it.

Ethan's understanding and compassion helped clear the unforgiving fog of self hatred that clouded her every thought. She would never be proud of what she did, but she wouldn't hate herself for protecting someone she loved.

Her tears were wiped from her face before Ethan pulled her to her feet and into a hug as they rocked on their heels. "I'm a mess." Saylor let out a half hearted chuckle whilst stepping out of the hug.

"I'd be more concerned if you weren't." Ethan replied knocking her shoulder with his. That was one thing she appreciated, he let her actually feel her emotions instead of shaming her for having a perfectly rational reaction to an incredibly distressing situation.

"Found em." The thick accent of Fenton announced to the others who were behind him in the door way. It was crazy to think that the very same man who Saylor, Rafe and Kie had attacked to escape Singh was now one of her friends.

"You ready to go?" Carlton stepped through between Fenton and Tyson, a backpack filled with both his and Saylor clothes hung on his shoulder.

Saylor simply nodded her head, she couldn't say out loud she wanted to leave because she didn't. It felt like she was going backwards leaving with the Pogues.

She had left them and found herself surrounded by people that genuinely cared for her and now she was leaving those people to go back with the Pogues.

But she wasn't leaving for the Pogues, she was leaving for Rafe and for Wheezie. They were going to have to grieve their father for a second time and she wanted to be there to support them.

Singhs men made a line in front of the property and both Carlton and Saylor made their way down the line saying their goodbyes.

"You'll always have a family with us." Tyson smiled at her as they pulled away from their hug.

"Thank you." Saylor smiled right back with glazed over eyes, she knew her next two goodbyes would be the hardest.

She stepped to the side and gave Ethan a watery smile. "Come on Bambi don't cry. You'll make me cry." He said playfully pulling her into their fourth hug of the hour.  "Keep in touch, yeah?"

"I promise." Saylor nodded holding out her pinkie finger which he linked with his own. She meant it, she wasn't going to let Ethan and Stephen slip out of her life.

Ethan ruffled her hair before letting her say her final goodbye to his little cousin. "Hey." Stephen smirked at her flirtatiously as he grabbed her hands.

"Hey." Saylor repeated her lips falling into a frown as it dawned on her she was actually leaving.

"You know, in another life we are married."

Saylor let out a laugh shaking her head at the fact he chose to flirt with her in that moment. "That sounds nice."

"I'll miss you." His voice was deeper as he tried to swallow the frog in his throat.

The blonde girl stood on her tip toes and placed a kiss on his cheek before removing her hands from his and stepping back.

Stephen stood frozen in shock as he raised his hand to his cheek his mouth hung open.

"I think you broke him." Ethan waved his hand in front of face and he didn't even bat an eyelid. "Yeah. He's broken."

Then entire group started laughing and Saylor was glad that their final moment together as a group was a positive cheerful one.

Carlton stretched out his hand to Saylor and nodded his head towards the car. She knew what he was saying and let out a big breath as she grabbed his hand in hers.

They walked to the car and opened the boot placing in the backpack before closing it and going to their seats. Immediately Saylor rolled down the window and stuck her head out as Carlton started the car.

"We love you guys!" She shouted to them as the car drove away. The figures of Singhs men got smaller as they got further away. All except Stephen that is as he decided to chase the car until they drove around the corner.

When the estate was no longer in view Saylor rolled up her window and turned her head to look at Carlton.

Carlton had tears rolling down his cheeks as he drove the car away from his family of four years. Saylor herself found it incredibly difficult to leave them and she had only known them a week so she couldn't comprehend how hard it was for Carlton.

She leaned over the middle console of the car which separated them and placed her hand over the one resting on his leg as he drove with one hand. Interlocking their fingers she gave his hand a squeeze.

Carlton briefly looked away from the road and at the blonde girl. The two shared a watery smile before turning to look at the road at the same time.

They were both incredibly grateful for the fact they had found each other.
