After waiting for one hour, Adeela's fingers twitched to call Habibah but she held on. She resisted. Also, she knows how worse traffic is. She decided to exercise sabr (patience)

Another one hour and thirty minutes had passed, Adela was utterly frustrated. All she wants to do is go home, eat, pray and sleep.
Adela groaned. She was so close to speed dial Habibah. She was bored, she has seen people go and come.

Some people as they land at the airport, their family is there, embracing them and taking them home but Adeela is all alone. Some people stare at her in sympathy while others boldly ask her if she is a stranger in Lagos.

Some kindly offer to transport to wherever she is going while others accuse of not properly informing the person of the time she will arrive.

Adeela contemplated whether to hail a cab and go home or steadfastly wait for the person Habibah sent. While she contemplated, kind and gentle drivers approached her inquiring where she is going, assuring her that they can take her there.

As kind drivers approached her, so did the Agbero drivers. Adeela decided to walk around the airport aimlessly. At least that will keep her busy.

It was midnight but every where is vibrant. Adeela still felt desolated. She looked so lost, it attracted stares.
Suddenly, she bumped into someone. Adeela felt annoyed.
"I am sorry" Adeela apologized, as she was partially at fault. After all,a bump is a two thing.
The man nodded and was about to leave when,
"I beg your pardon! I believe you bump into me, likewise did I. The least you could do is apologized not nod yourself and scour away like a jerk. In fact, I believe you attitude resemble that of an idiot. " Adela poured her frustration on the man. She wished to merely apprise the man of his wrong but not to judge him. She simply wanted to correct his wrong not rebuke him.

The man profusely shocked. He would have apologized but he was in a haste. He is searching for someone.

"I apologize, I am in a haste. Hence, I noticed you and what happened. My mind is preoccupied" The man apologized. Adeela was about to point out that he never said sorry but she choose to leave it aside. Adeela noticed at the man looked perturbed. She didn't even look at the man twice, she continued her walk.
The both of them went their separate ways.

After forty minutes later, Habibah was getting worried. She decided to call Adeela.

"Assalam alaykum. Have you not seen the person?" Habibah anxiously asked.
Adela relieved that Habibah called.

" Walaykum Salam. No. I have been waiting for 3 hours and 10 minutes. I am yet to see him" Adeela tried her best to hide her frustration but it was futile.

"Eyah. I will call the person now. I am so sorry. I should have called earlier" Habibah sympathized.

"No problem. Please confirm whether the person is coming or not. l can go, home by myself"Adeela offered.

"Ok but you are not coming home all by yourself."

"Yes ma'am" Adeela smiled

"Assalam alaykum" Habibah wished her goodbye

"Walaykum Salam" Adeela cut the call. Adeela sighed.
....

"Assalam alaykum sir." Habibah angrily said

"Ahan! Walaykum Salam. Why the sir ma?"
Anan knew his mom.

"No reason. It is because you are now older than me" Habibah glared even though Anan couldn't see. He knew there is fire on the mountain.

"Ah Umma" Anan said. He was about to explain what is wrong.

"Ehn, you are older. If not, why will I send you work and you will not do it. Since you have left three hours ago, I am yet to see you or even your shadow talk less of the person I politely asked you to pick from the airport. Anan, if you don't know want is doing you, cut the call" Habibah spoke.
Anan, knew at this point that he had pissed her beyond reasonable doubt.

"Mama, I also didn't wish spend much time outside. An accident occured and the traffic worsened. I am now at the airport and I am yet to spot the person"

"Oh! I hope there are no casualties. You should have called. I will send you her number so call her. When you are back, I will prepare a warm bath for you" Habibah said calmly. Habibah's mind skipped a bit when she heard about the accident. She quickly muttered a silent prayer, thanking Allah for her son not be involved in the accident.

"Ok ma"He smiled, knowing his mom is calm.

..............
"Assalamu alaykum ma. I am the person instructed to pick you up from the airport."
Anan introduced, the second she picked his call.

"Ehen. Walaykum salam. Are you at the airport?" Adeela wished to say a lot but she kept quiet. After all, we can't be rude to strangers, can we?

"Yes I am. I am in front of the Departure exit " Anan described.

Adeela was in the Arrival exit but it is not a lot of hassle to go to where he said he is.

"Ok. I will be there" Adeela was finally glad that she is finally leaving the airport.

She navigated her way to the Departure exit. Adeela stared around looking for a middle age or old man. She was about to call the number when he called.
"Are you there?" Anan asked.

He was busy looking for a woman when he saw her. The one that bumped into him. She was looking happy, at the same time it is lucid that she is distressed.
A thought came to him. What if she is the one he is asked to pick?.

The thought went as fast as it came. 'There is no way he is asked to pick this rude woman'

"Yes I am. Can you describe what you are wearing, should I or should we both do it?" Adeela suggested.

" I will go first. I am wearing a white tracksuits and sneakers. "

" Ok I think I can see you. I will cone to you" Adeela said already sighting him

"Ok" Anan end the call.
