Days went by one after one. Taehyung
wanted to have a proper conversation
with YN but never got the chance. They
met several times during the company
meetings and whenever they met, they
Would steal a glance of each other. It was like a game of hide and seek.
As the date of product launching was
coming closer and closer, Taehyung
became more occupied. But no matter
how busy he got, he never forgot to meet
his little kid. Everyday he would go to
the kids center and secretly give him
chocolates and candies. He made sure YN didn't find out about his visit to Hyun.
YN's P.0.V-
Work was getting more hectic day by
day. The new products launch date was
coming closer, so all of us had to do a
lot of work. More work meaning more
meetings and that put me in a awkward
position all the time.
In each and every single meetings, I
noticed, Mr. Kim stealing glances of me
whenever he got the chance. At first, I
was confused as to why would he pay so
much attention to me. Then I realized,
he definitely remembered me and it was
bothering him so much!
Today's meeting was also not an
exception. We kept stealing glances at
each other and I was sure that a few of
my colleagues had already got a hint. Now he was putting me in a very awkward position.
"YN, did something happen between you
and the boss! I don't want to be rude, but I noticed what was happening," Aera asked me in a low tone so that no one else could hear our conversation.
"What are you talking about? I don't
understand!" I lied, to avoid her.
"Not only today! In the other meetings
too. I saw him looking at you," Aera
whispered.
"You know what, i'm so hot that no one can resist me. Maybe he gets pleasure seeing me. I should give him a chance, don't you think!"I replied being sarcastic and winked at her. If I denied, it would only deepen her suspicion.
My reply made her scrunch her face.
I bet she was amused with my reply.
But someone else wasn't, who was
eavesdropping on us.
"Huh, bunch of losers! Just because he
glanced at you a couple of times, doesn't
mean he's interested in you," Yiren
Scoffed looking at us.
"Aww, are you jealous now ma'am, cause
he didn't look at you but YN!" Aera
mocked her.
"Ill see who is jealous, when I attend
the party with him that Mr. Park will be
throwing. Plus Mr. Kim doesn't look like
the type to be tamed by one woman. If
i'm lucky Il get into his pants too. Keep
dreaming girls!" Yiren said with a smirk
and walked away.
Aera kept throwing punches in the air out of anger. I just stood there and sighed. Poor delusional Yiren. Not only Yiren, I bet there was a bunch of girls like her who wanted to get into his pants, just because he was rich and handsome.
Well, to be honest, there were times when, even I imagined how it would feel to touch him! Like who wouldn't! He was a freaking full course meal to look at.
Now that I thought of it. I only
remembered our kiss from that night,
nothing else.
Author's P.O.V-
That day, after the meeting, Mrs. Choi was called into the C.E.O's office. Taehyung looking at some files sitting on his chair when someone knocked on the door.
"Mrs. Choi, there will be a party thrown
by Mr. Park Jimin, the day after we
launch the new product. It's on the
weekend, would you be able to attend?"
Taehyung asked raising an eyebrow.
Whenever there was a business function, Taehyung would take Mrs. Choi with him as a date. He didn't like the clingy young employees, so he preferred Mrs. Choi, who was an honorable woman in her 40's.
"Sorry sir. This time I can't attend the
party with you. I'm supposed to attend my cousin's wedding this weekend," Mrs. Choi refused politely.
"Um, it's okay then. You don't have to be
sorry. It's not part of your job anyway!"
Taehyung replied witha slight smile.
"I have already talked to my assistant,
Miss Lee Yiren, beforehead. She is willing to go and I don't think she'll cause you any inconvenience," she suggested.
Taehyung thought for a while and realized it was the best chance he would ever get.
"I think Miss Lee YN would be better. She did the presentation quite well and Mr.Park would be glad to see her," Taehyung said.
"I need to ask her first, Sir. She has a little kid andI don't know if she'll be free."
Taehyung nodded at her reply and Mrs.
Choi went back to her department.
YN's P.0.V-
I had been to the second floor to pay a
visit to my little one and just came back
to my office. I was about to start my work again when Mrs. Choi came to me.
"Miss YN, our CEO wants to take you to
the party this weekend. Is it okay with
you?" She asked.
"What!! Are you kidding me!!! You said
I'd be the one to go to the party!" Yiren
yelled from her desk.
I stood up from my desk out of shock.
Yiren's yelling now had already attracted a lot of attention. I could see the mischievous grin on Aera's face. She was happy that, Yiren's arrogance got crushed.But I was in a dilemma.
"I don't want to! I mean, I can't, ma'am!" I tried to refuse.
"Then suppose you're fired!" Said a voice
which startled everyone in the room.
