Derek POV

The sound of the rain pouring down outside is what has kept me up the entire night. I hate thunderstorms with a passion and Stiles left this morning so I was here by myself. It's funny right? I'm supposed to be this big scary alpha but I jump every time the thunder roars above me.

My phone started ringing distracting me from my thoughts. I grabbed it seeing Stiles' name on the screen.

"Stiles?" I asked answering.

"D-derek. Can you come get me?" He whimpered.

"Of coarse. Where are you?" I said hearing him close to tears.

"I don't know..." he finally broke letting out a sob. "I remember going to bed. And n-now I'm on the side of the road somewhere. Der, I'm scared." He cried.

"Baby, calm down. I'm coming, I'll find you okay? Just talk to me." I said heading to my car.

"About what?" He asked.

"Anything." I said. It was quiet for a few minutes. "Stiles, babe, how was school? What happened at school?" I asked, he sniffed.

"I uh..I left your house and..and I got Scott." He paused. "I don't know. I don't remember." He said crying harder.

"Hey, calm down, it's okay. You're just scared. Breathe, okay." I said.

"Okay." he mumbled.

I managed to find him not to long after he called me. It was raining even harder now though. I handed him some clothes as he got in. He took off his shirt looking around not knowing where to put it before he locked eyes with me. I took it throwing it in the back seat. He smiled putting the dry shirt I brought him on before changing out of his wet pants and boxers.

"Thank you." He said, as I pulled into his driveway.

"Of course." I said, jumping as the thunder roared again. Stiles chuckled.

"C-can you stay? I don't want to be alone." He asked, I nodded getting out and following him inside.

This goddamn sickness is going to work faster than I thought. I can't lose him.

He's the one thing the keeps me grounded, the only reason I'm here.

I love him.
