Book 6: Fabled Songs

Chapter 7: End of the story.

At the bottom of the beanstalk, everyone is waiting for Jack to come down.

Jack is up at the house still. He can't help wonder what this was for. He stopped a giant from killing them. He helped save Gracie and a few others.

He starts climbing but slips. He's falling down.

Volxio notices this and opens a portal back into Timeline 1. Unfortunately, he came with him somehow. He, and everyone else is confused.

They see the building and Titans all around the world.

Jack: Yep. I think this is the right timeline.

Volxio: Ok... uh... how do you suppose we stop falling?!

Jack: We can land on the water. That's-

Volxio: The waters is extremely shallow where we are going to land! Are you crazy?!

Jack: Well, Uh... I dunno. Do you have a plan?

Volxio: I don't! But... I also don't know why I'm here either. Stupid plots needing people. Could've left me there.

Jack looks at him annoyed.

Volxio: What?

Jack: You know what.

Volxio: I literally don't know.

Jack glares at him again.

Volxio: Okay. Sheesh. Shut up.

Volxio opens a portal underneath Jack and a leg gets impaled by some twigs on a tree.

Volxio goes back to his timeline.

Jack: OW!!! YOU JERK!!! What the hell?! Wait...

He looks around.

Jack: I'm home... BULL SHIT THIS HURTS!!!

Cardni comes flying later.

Cardni: Well, you're late. Where were you?! I noticed you grown some height.

Jack: Man, I had a really long few days and I would appreciate getting some actual rest.

Cardni: I'm a bird. I have no powers.

Jack: Get. Someone.

Cardni: Ok. I'll find someone. Calm down. Deep breaths.

Jack takes three big deep breaths.

Cardni: Where we're you?!

Jack: I fought a giant.

Cardni: Really?! Did you kill it?

Jack: No. I was only there in the giant's house for 3 hours max.

Cardni: Man, you were quick.

Jack: I'm now realizing I grew a few inches from before I went there.

Cardni: Where we're you?

Jack: Timeline 1.5.

He ends up explaining everything to Cardni.

Cardni: Man, I wish I were there. I would love to tweet a few words of criticism to that guy.

Jack: He's not that much of a god, he just wanted to achieve his dreams of becoming a musician, but I don't think he needed to alter the world in order to do so.

Cardni: Yeah. People can be idiots sometimes. Even if they are powerful.

They both stay quiet.

Cardni: I'm going to leave to see if there is any help.

Jack: Alright.

Cardni leaves.
