it was a cloudy day at the owl house and king was currently giving lessons on demons which i already knew because of hooty but i paid attention for king as he looked very happy to be teaching others about demons but then suddenly we hear lighting outside
"uh oh looks like its gonna rain" king said
"rain!? i love the rain! lets go isa!" luz says running outside i follow her but when we got outside i bad feeling came over me like an instinct telling me to back inside i try to warn luz but then we heard eda yelling as she ran towards us
'get inside now rain!" she yelled my instincts moved my body when i saw a drop of rain disintegrate a flower i grabbed luz and ran inside as a heavy downpour started eda ran inside with us closing the door
"that was a close call anyone hurt?" eda says getting up
"I'm ok are you hurt luz?" i ask
"kinda one drop fell on me" luz said showing a small burn on her arm
"i can help a bit i want practice for my healing magic" i said attempting to heal luz it was really slow but it was working
"ok good I'm going to put a barrier around the house get comfortable were stuck inside all night" eda says walking outside it takes a few minutes but luzs burn was fully healed king put a bandaid on it and then put one on himself
"were booboo buddies now" he said by now we were waiting at the door watching eda put the barrier around the house
"hey eda why do people call you the owl lady?" luz asks curiously
"its because I'm mysterious and wise" eda said smiling
"its because she coughed up rat bones once hoot" hooty said
"no your both wrong shes called the owl lady because shes attracted to shiny objects" king says pulling out luzs light up pen turning it on
"it shimmers and shines i must have it for my nest!" eda says before jumping at king missing
"see? shiny objects" king said proudly
"ow that hurt ugh I'm exhausted I'm going to bed" eda said getting up
"wait but what about our magic lesson eda?" luz says
"oh right uh ok ill teach you about were magic comes from now where do you think magic comes from?" eda says yawning
"uhh the heart?" luz guesses
"actually your not wrong you see witches and bipedal demons have things called bile sacks there attached to our hearts they allow us to use magic" eda says pulling out a graph showing where the bile sack was
"witches do magic by creating spell circles like this" eda says making a simple light spell
"ok do that again so i can record it" luz says pulling out her phone
eda attempts to do it again but then passes out on the ground
"did i kill her!?" luz says running towards her but when i came over eda was just snoring
"no luz shes just exhausted that barrier proboly used a lot of magic remember how i was really sleepy after going to hexside? its the same thing i will make sure she gets to her room" i explained before making an abomination that picks up eda i then walk up into her room but instead of a bed there was a big nest so i guess she really is the owl lady i commanded my abomination to gently place her down in the nest then i head back downstairs
"hey isa could you explain how you do magic?" luz asks
"sure so basically it depends on what kind of magic and how big of an effect i want it for example a simple light spell i just imagine making a light in my head as i make a spell circle and depending on how big my spell circle is that's how big of a light ill make" i explain making a small light
