The day was too perfect for it to be a Monday, the sun shining with not a single cloud covering the brand blue sky. The weather is nice, not too warm nor too cold.

As she gazed at the delicate cherry blossoms flowering gracefully, she couldn't help but feel a pang of bitter irony. The day was at its most beautiful, while she was at her worst, struggling with her existence.

Having drank a cup of coffee as a nutritious breakfast and some peppermint gum for lunch, she had some dark circles decorating her pretty but dull eyes and a loose low bun taking all of her hair out from her face.

She was already leaving staring at the trees as her brother and his best friends changed shoes.

"Woaaaahhhh, such a pretty day, right ___-Chan?" Toruu looked at where her gaze was pointed at. "But not as pretty as me."

She rolled her eyes crossing her arms.

"And a hundred times prettier than your emo attitude." He replied.

"The day would have been prettier if you were at home sick Trashykawa." Iwaizumi joked as if he was serious.

She chuckled, and Oikawa gawked. "That's mean Iwa-chan. AND I didn't know you could smile. I thought you forgot how to do so," Her brother claimed while they walked towards the gate. "Anyways, today they stream another episode of the series we were...

As her brother talked, she couldn't help but feel like there was something different in the air. She heard whispers spreading across the area but couldn't make out what they were saying. Suddenly, a hush fell over the crowd, and she turned her head to see what was happening.

There, at the school gate, stood Ushijima, with his tall and imposing figure, towering over all the other students, his green eyes fixed on her. The whispers grew louder as people started to recognize him, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as he began to approach her.

She quickly glanced at her brother and Iwaizumi, hoping they wouldn't notice Ushijima's presence. But it was too late. Iwaizumi had already seen him and quickly grabbed Oikawa, pulling him away and distracting him from continuing the conversation about the TV series he was talking about.

Ushijima stood in front of her. His stoic expression as usual, but his eyes talked by themselves, they were confused. Many questions overwhelmed his mind, he looked at her for answers without having even asked.

"Wakatoshi..." She mumbled. A lump formed in her throat and her eyes stung with the urge to shed tears. But soon she cleaned her throat and furrowed her brows. "What are you doing here?!"

He was in his uniform, white and purple, looking as good as she remembered...or maybe even better. "I just wanted to check up on you."

She licked her lips, trying to contain that smile that only he could take out. But after feeling the eyes of her classmates following them, she quickly grabbed Ushijima's arm and led him away from the school gate. As they walked, she couldn't help but feel self-conscious, knowing that everyone was watching and gossiping about them, she didn't know how much time she had before Toruu found out.

They ended up at a small park, where she sat on a bench and gestured for Ushijima to sit beside her. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and then turned to face him.

"Thank you for checking up on me, Wakatoshi, but you didn't have to come all the way here. I'm fine," she said, wide-eyed, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

Ushijima looked at her intently, as he reached out to touch her. His large hand gently cradled her face. His fingers brushed against her cheek, tracing a delicate path as he gazed at her with an intensity that spoke volumes. Her eyes, her nose, her lips, her cheeks... he wondered how someone could be that lovely.

His eyes seemed to dance with a quiet joy, the kind that could only come from seeing someone you had been longing for after a prolonged absence.

He had missed her, more than he cared to admit.

She was shy but didn't want him to remove his hand, enjoying the warmth of his touch against her skin. It had been a while since they had seen each other, and she realized how much she had missed him too.

At that moment, nothing else mattered but the two of them lost in their private world.

"What's wrong?" he asked. She bit her lip, feeling a knot form in her stomach. She knew she couldn't lie to him, not when he was looking at her like that.

She took a deep breath and found herself opening up to Ushijima about everything. She told him about her brother and how she had thought that ignoring her feelings for him would solve everything. She spoke of her mistakes and how sad and miserable she had been without being able to talk to him. She shared how she felt like she couldn't be herself anymore, weighed down by her own emotions.

Despite her apprehension about opening up to him, Ushijima listened intently to every word she said. His expression was one of understanding and empathy, and she felt a warmth in her heart that she hadn't felt in a long time.

As she finished, she looked at him expectantly, hoping for some kind of response. He didn't say anything for a while, instead, he continued to gaze at her with that intense look in his eyes, his hand still cradling her face.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he spoke. "I'm sorry," he said softly. "But you don't have to be strong alone. I am strong. I can be strong for the two of us."

She widened her brows in surprise and laughed.

A very charismatic laugh for having her cheeks wet in sad tears. "PFFTTT HAHAHAHAH."

Ushijima furrowed his brows. "Why are you laughing?"

She continued for a second before calming down. "No, nothing you are just too funny Wakatoshi."

"What did I say?" He asked.

"It's just funny."

"What is?"

She looked at his pretty but confused green eyes for a long minute before giggling to herself. "That I'm falling in love with you too."

Helloooo!!!!!

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've been studying nonstop for the sat and I am quite afraid because I'm very stupid.

I promise as soon as I finish with it, I will be finishing this story.

Also, I'm planning to do an Erwin fanfic, and maybe a Suna as well.

Let's see if I can finish this one first.
