𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀! 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗴𝗼 + 𝗢𝗰 ②

🌌~ Cloud ~🌌

''How is it in the Cloud?'' Jay akwardly  asks. And judging by the silent moment after his question, i'm guessing that the others were glaring at him with a 'really?' look.

''Besides the fact that there's corrupted citizens and shadow creatures roaming around that didn't notice me yet. Pretty good.'' I add sarcastically before noticing a familiar person in the distance. They have short and brown hair, a little darker than mine. Their suit was black with a mix of navy blue.

''Is everything okay? You just stopped talking.'' Kai interrupts my peeking.

''Yeah, i'm fine. I think i just saw a real person. They looked suspicious, i'll follow them.'' I glance back at the silhouette.

They were now running. I follow them. They dash inside a building and close the door shut. I gently try to open it, but it is locked. I gaze at a broken window near the door, broken pieces of glass on the corners of the square shaped window. This is gonna hurt. I push myself into the window and go to the other side, controlling myself not to yell in pain due to the palm of my hands that had now cuts on them. Hearing noises nearby, i merge myself in the shadow, planning to make a stealth attack. I slowly make my way to the other room, carefully looking next to me at every opportunity. I step on something round, i fall over my back, making me visible again. Great. I notice the familiar person in front of me. I look at them with surprised eyes.

''Raven?'' I say with a relieved tone.

''Wh- Moki?'' Raven's eyes lit up. They had a gas mask on. I guess that explains how they didn't turn into a shadow figure.

''What are you doing here?'' Raven questions, tilting their head.

''I could ask you the same.'' I retort, getting up.

''It's nothing important. What about you?'' They interrogate.

''I'm here to stop Onyx.'' I answer. They raise an eyebrow, and i sigh. ''It's a long story, but to make it short, it's the one who's responsible for all of this.'' They slowly nod in comprehension. A loud bang from the door was heard. We both look at each other in shock.

''Take the stairs, it'll lead you up to the roof. Then go get Onyx!'' They shout, pushing me to the way upstairs before taking out two daggers and closing the door on me.

''But-!'' I yell through the door.

''No! Just go, please! I'll slow them down for you!'' Raven interrupt.

''Please be safe.'' I repeatedly mutter to myself while making my way up to the roof. Arriving, i look around in panic. I jump to the other rooftop and repeat the process.

I sit down near a garbage bin, exhausted and taking several breaths.

''Moki? Hello? We haven't heard from you for a long time. Are you there?'' I hear Kai talk.

''Y-Yeah, i-'' I cough, cutting my sentence off. ''I'm here.'' I finish, gasping for air.

''Woah, are you okay?'' Cole asks.

''I'm fine, i just ran a lot.'' I respond, chuckling.

I see something at the distance, a shadow figure, a familiar one. I sneak far behind, following whoever it is. I hide at the back of a tall wood fence. Talking could be heard, i peek my head out to look who was talking. There were two people, Onyx and... Raven?

''Capture her, and i'll keep my promise.'' The black silhouette offers, handing its hand to Raven, who has a doubtful and discomfort look on their face. ''Please accept my offer.'' Onyx begs.

''Fine.'' Raven accepts the shadow's hand, leaving me speechless and with wide eyes.

I remove my head from sight and look down. My heart's beating gets faster. I put a hand on my chest, totally in disbelief. My vision starts to get blurry until i hear something;

''Sis? Are you okay?'' I hear my brother's voice in the comm.

I place my fingers on it. I'm screwed. I feel Onyx getting closer to me, i take a few steps back before turning around and starting to sprint.

''This isn't the greatest timing, Jay!'' I yell.

I continue to run, and a purple glow appears in front of me. The silhouette gets clearer, revealing Onyx. It was floating in the air. I fall backward, backing up. A shadow creature appears behind my back. I look over my shoulder, seeing Raven with their arm in front of them, a white with slight blue glow forming on their fingers. I shut my eyes and concentrate. I feel myself merge with the shadows, successfully escaping. I appear to be visible again. I'm sitting on the grass, opening my eyes. I rest my chin on my knees, wrapping an arm around both of my legs. I place my free hand near my mouth, noticing it shaking. My vision gets blurry due to the tears forming in my eyes.

''I- I am exhausted, i'll exit the Cloud.'' I say through my communicator.

''Okay, where are you?'' Jay asks.

I place my hand on my chest, feeling my fast heartbeat. I take a deep breath, looking at the distance. I tilt my head down a little bit, frowning and boiling in anger. I feel my vision getting blurry again.

''Moki? Hello?'' Jay's voice snaps me out of my trance. I look around me, realizing where i am sitting.

''Y-Yes, I'm here.''

''Where are you?''

''I'm at the park.'' I answer.

''Alright, we'll go there as fast as we can!'' He reassures me. I look in front of me, calming down. I hear a branch crack behind me, i rotate my head behind me.

''Listen, i know you must hate me. But it's not what you think. '' Raven mutters.

''Ha. Sure.'' I coldly retort.

''I know it's hard to trust me, especially right now.'' I stand up. ''But i only did this to protect you.'' I start to walk away, but i feel them grab my arm. Making me lose balance, i get myself on both feet. I throw my arm away from Raven's grip.

''I don't need you to protect me.'' I gaze back at them, sending them daggers with my glare. ''I'll never let Onyx take control over me.'' Raven stays silent, looking shocked and scared at me.

''You don't know what you're talking about.'' They frown. I cross my arms, looking down. ''Onyx plans to take over your body.'' I gaze back at them.

''I know.''

''Everything you saw was an illusion. A trick to easily get to you.'' They explain, gesturing with their hands. I raise my eyebrows.

''Onyx is going for your friends right now.'' I look at them, stunned and angry, still speechless. ''Be careful with your emotions.'' Raven warns, making me think.

''And as much as i hate your friends.'' They sigh. ''They make you happy. So let's go find and stop Onyx.'' They confess, making me smile. I wrap my arms around Raven, pulling them into a hug. They embrace me back, apologizing for everything.

''You are forgiven, now let's go stop Onyx.'' I say, grinning.
