Long update for the gays.

Emily's POV

"So did the hottie walk you here?" Kendall teased as she tied her hair.

"Yup." I nonchalantly answered as I opened my locker.

"You're one patient motherfucker." Kendall threw her head back as she chuckled.

"Exactly. Like you waited for a year to have Y/N for yourself. That's.. so not you." Crystal chimed in.

"Waiting for her for a month when she was still in California was easy. Even when she got back here, it became way easier. But then, my parents had to push me to that James McVey guy for some sort of family business or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I'm badly into Y/N but I needed to be a good daughter first so I could claim my money." I chuckled.

Kendall laughed and said, "I still remember how heartbroken you were when you found out Y/N had been seeing Lauren before. You were too cringe. Too much drinking of alcohol for someone who's oblivious about you and your feelings, huh?"

I rolled my eyes at her as I grinned, "Well, Y/N confirmed that there was nothing between her and Lauren that time. And also, I had a chance. I swear, I nearly had a chance that time if it wasn't from that dumbass jock."

Flashback
3 months after Y/N and Camila's break up

Emily's POV

I hated going to class early, but I had to do it in order to get rid of James' presence.

My mom and James' mom who are businesswomen recently partnered in an attempt to get a major business deal. She then received word that they might not be given the opportunity for the interview because the company felt they lacked the foundations for a partnership because the only thing that's tying them is a contract. The company was afraid that they might cause future difficulties. So, James and I therefore agreed with our mothers that we would pretend and appear to be in a relationship for a year to promote a motherly bond for the two of them, though, our mothers suggested it would be better if we actually tried it for real and go on dates. James liked the concept so much that he continued the act even if no people are present and he began telling his friends that we've been together for a year already and we only needed to keep it a secret for the purpose of "exclusivity." He googled that and I do not think he used it right.

I remember his friends asking him that if we wanted our relationship to be private, why was he blurting it out now, to which he replied, "I cannot keep my love for this woman a secret for too long. It's making my heart burst." Cringe shit.

Just a month and all of this are done.

When the door flung open to show a sweating Y/N who appeared to have run for her life just to arrive early, my train of thought was abruptly interrupted. I giggled at the sight.

She, Shawn, and her believed fling Lauren used to sit at the back, which I glanced over. Because she was the first member of their group to enter, the seats were vacant. I tried to shoot my shot.

I tapped the seat to my left and said, "Hey Y/N, wanna sit with me?"

Before approaching my way, she smiled at me. Such most endearing smile.

She hesitated, "Would it be alright?"

"Of course. Looks like we're the first comer from our groups anyway." I chuckled. She then grabbed the seat and settled her bag in before sitting on it completely.
