CHAPTER 93

Maddison: Lizzy? Anak, is there something wrong? (Confuse)

Imee: Oh s-sorry, mom (Sit properly). Ahm, kanina ka pa po?

Maddison: Hindi naman.

Imee: Great. I-I already ordered food na po. Kung may iba ka pa pong gusto, just call the waiter and — (didn't continue her words coz Maddison hold her hand)

Maddison: Hindi ko na itatanong kung okay ka kasi alam ko namang hindi. So tell me, what is it?

Imee: I'm okay, mom. Pagod lang po ako kaya medyo tulala. Sorry po.

Even though Lizzy smile, alam kong may problema siya. Ni hindi din siya makatingin sa akin ng diretso eh so I sigh and speak up again.

Maddison: Is it still about your Dad?

When I ask her, agad siyang naluha. She also look and hold the ring that Rod gave as their engagement ring.

Maddison: Alam kong mahirap, anak. I admit, masakit pa din para sa akin na wala na ang Daddy mo pero anak, we must accept and move on, okay? Kasi kung nakikita man tayo ngayon ng Daddy mo na lugmok at malungkot pa din, hindi niya magugustuhan.

Imee: Mommy, I promised Dad (her tears started to fall) P-pero ngayon? Hindi na po ako sigurado eh (shook her head and look at Maddison) Hindi na.

When Lizzy look at me, agad na din akong naluha so I cupped her face and wiped away her tears. But those words made me confused.

Rod's POV
I am now in my office, busy finishing my plate. I'm in a rush right now kaya hindi ko na maharap kumain o magmeryenda man lang. While extending the lead on my mechanical pen, someone knocked the door so I told him or her to come in.

Franchesca: Hoy! Anong oras na. Wala ka bang balak kumain?

Rod: Anong oras na ba?

Franchesca: 12:32 nn. na! (Then sit on Rod's swivel chair) Hay! Kapagod noh? We're rushing again and again — (didn't continue her words coz Rod turn back and gave her a questioned look)

Rod: T***-***! Totoo ba?

Franchesca: T***-*** Oo! Kainis 'to. Makamura naman akala mo kung sino. Ako na nga 'tong nagmagandang loob na magremind kumain, ako pa 'tong namura? (then rolled her eyes).

As Franky tell those words, I immediately shook my head and grab my phone on my table. I checked kung anong oras na ba talaga and she's right! Pass twelve na nga. "Kumain na kaya yon? Hayst! Baka mamaya hindi na naman eh (in his mind)"

Since tapos na kumain si Franky, I ask her kung pwede kuhanan nalang niya ako ng pagkain dito sa office and good thing she agreed naman kahit na mukhang napilitan lang. While sitting on my swivel chair, I keep on calling Lizzy pero ni isang tawag ko hindi niya sinasagot. Maybe she's busy or she left her phone in her office again so I've decided to send her a message nalang.

To Love:
Hi, Love. Kumain ka na?

To Love:
Kahit busy ka, kumain ka pa din ha? Sorry hindi na ako nakapunta jan. I have plates na kailangang i-rush kasi.

I was about to send another message again pero dumating na si Franky. Dala-dala ang pagkain so I put down my phone and accept the food.
