I took my chances and decided to sit next to her.

"Do you mind if I sit here?"

"Of course not as long as you don't get into trouble with your boss."

"Don't worry James is doing my shift for me."

"Well in that case you are welcome to stay seated"

"Well since you are typing, I think it's the perfect time for me to read some of your work."

She shut her laptop and said, "You never told me about yourself"

She obviously didn't want me to read her work so I just played along.

"Well my name is Max Greystone, I live with my Mom and little sister. "

"What's your sister's name?"

"Clara, she's in grade 5"

"I think it's amazing how you take care of your sister and your mom."

"Thank you"

"What's your mom like?"

"Well let's see... She loves listening to country music, she hates the smell of garlic oh and did I mention that she's beautiful even in her old age."

She smiled, with her Americano in her hands. She SMILED. She actually smiled. It was a sight for sore eyes, but why did that of all things make her smile? Does she know my mother?

"My mother hated the smell of garlic too, she said it was an invitation for the monsters. She was also very beautiful regardless of her age, with her long brown hair and her beautiful brown eyes that glowed in the sunlight. If only I could see her once more."

Her smile was even brighter then a tear drop fell from her eyes and she said,"Only she's dead.".
