- HADRIAN'S POV -

It was a few days after the start of the school year when everyone assembled outside to watch the arrival of other schools, the ladies of Beauxbatons Academy flying in a carriage drawn by pegasi. From the Black Lake a ship rose out of the water, the flags of Durmstrang flying high. I feel Draco gently tug me back from leaning over the edge of the bridge, I roll my eyes knowing how worried he got.

He had started getting more protective of me after I had almost lost one of my hands into a potion during class because the fumes from the potion had worn away my stitches through the glamour. It had definitely been an eye opening event and from then on Draco had demanded we check my stitches each night so I don't lose a limb.

"Come on Had- Harry we need to get to the Great Hall, apparently the old geezer has a big announcement to do with the other schools." Draco hummed.

"Probably has to do with the Triwizard Tournament he mentioned before the opening feast." I say as I move to follow Draco back to the Great Hall.

"You're probably right." He agreed as we walked, him gently grabbing my hand and holding it.

As we walked into the Great Hall we were ushered to our seats by Snape who really didn't look happy when he noticed that we were holding hands, but he didn't say anything only giving Draco a disappointed look which made Draco drop my hand and look away from both me and Snape in shame. I sent a glare after the bat like professor before grabbing Draco's hand again and taking him to our seat.

"You shouldn't get too caught up on what Snape thinks about us." I mutter to Draco who just gives me a sad look.

"Professor Snape's my godfather, he's likely going to tell my father and then we won't be able to see each other." Draco tries.

"Screw what they think about us, I'm your mate and even if you push me away, you aren't going to get rid of me that easily." I declare and Draco gives me a real smile for it.

It wasn't long until lunch started, usually on Saturdays the Great Hall wouldn't be as busy but due to the arrival of the other schools and the announcement the hall was teaming with chatter, but all that went silent as Dumblefuck started his speech. I had to hold in my snort as Mr. Filch interrupted the speech midway to tell the old geezer something.

"The Ladies of Beauxbatons!" Called Dumbledore as I tuned back in, only to watch the girls flutter in. I could feel the charm that they were trying to cast and next to me I heard Draco growl and grab me by the waist possessively. I gave him a curious look only to realise it might not be Draco in control.

"You never told me you had your inheritance as well." I whisper to him as I lean into him to try to help calm him down.

"Happened over the summer, around your birthday, was probably in response to your inheritance now that I know." Draco calmed down as he looked at me, as he noticed that my attention was only on him and not the girls.

"I take it you're the same creature as whoever was casting that charm." I hum.

"Yes... we can talk about it later." He smiles as he motions to Snape's glare at the two of them.

I snort as I decide to oblige and stay silent as Durmstrang comes in, this time with no charms to seduce the audience. Though this time I caught George watching Viktor closely and from that Fred and I shared a look of knowing. Draco nudged me with a raised eyebrow and I mouthed 'Later' to him.
