It was a few days after the four had gone out to Diagon Alley and gotten the rest of Harry, Fred and Georges school supplies. It was the morning after that about 6 letters arrived at the house. Charlie had been the first to wake up, being a morning person in general. When he had arrived in the dining hall he had raised an eyebrow at the number of letters.
Charlie took the letters from the owls, letting the owls leave whenever. He quickly checks the letters, 2 for each of his brothers, one from Hogwarts and the other from the ministry making his eyebrow raise. He puts the letters down on the table as an elf brings him coffee so he sits down to wait for his brothers.
Harry was the next to come into the dinning room, the twins were typically the last to get there. Harry sat down in his chair, his head falling onto the table out of exhaustion. Charlie couldn't help but snort into his coffee.
"You have mail by the way." Charlie hummed, taking the daily mail as it dropped onto the table.
Harry grumbled as he lifted his head, a cup of coffee appearing in front of him when he did. He grabbed the letters and threw Fred and George's letters back on the table focusing on his letters. He drank about half of his coffee before daring to be alive and open his letters.
"Oh shit-" Harry said, his eyes going wide as he read the letter from the ministry since he already knew what the letter from Hogwarts would be.
"What happened?" Charlie asked looking up from the paper.
"Hogwarts is doing a mass resorting of all its students due to complaints from parents, the board of education is fully on board with the idea." Harry said.
"Can't imagine Dumbledore approved of that." Charlie snorted, rolling his eyes.
Harry couldn't help but laugh at that. Knowing in no way Dumbledore has approved this. At that moment Fred and George came down the stairs groggily. They however did notice the mail on the table unlike Harry.
"What's this about?" George asks not even bothering to open his letter from the ministry.
"Mass resorting at Hogwarts is going to happen." Harry hums, taking a sip from his coffee while reading through the stuff he needed for Hogwarts and checking off what he had already had gone and gotten.
"Oh damn, this means we can get out of Gryffindor without it being suspicious." Fred grins.
"Fuck yeah." George cheers.
It was then that the elves brought out their breakfast. Like usual Harry's plate was very obviously more stacked up then the others but at this point it was normal. Charlie put down the paper and dug into the breakfast that had been made for them.
"So what are you missing from your school lists?" Charlie asked, looking between his brothers.
"I just forgot a book or two." Harry says.
"Nothing, not since we're used to what year needs what cause of Perce. But some new robes would be nice." Fred said, answering for both him and George.
"So we need to go to Diagon alley again." Charlie hums.
"Maybe tomorrow- don't the Weasley's typically go the first day you get the letters." Harry groans.
"I agree with Harrykins." Fred grunts
"Plus I'm so tired-" George groans.
Charlie rolls his eyes at the three's antics as an owl flies into the room dropping a letter in front of Charlie before flying off again. Charlie picks it up and rips it open to see the contents.
"Bill says he should be all good to revive the horcrux and to transfer the soul piece." Charlie says, reading the letter.
"Hell yeah." Harry says, just as he did a yawn rips through him and looks back down at the table debating all of his life choices.
