It was a couple of days later, all four of them had made their way to the Burrow, and their acting skills had been put to the test. Harry groaned and hugged his pillow, he had been forced to share a room with Ron and the other snored like a beast. Harry was close to asking if he could sleep with Charlie in his room just to get away from the snoring, he already had to deal with it at Hogwarts.

Well that's if the sorting hat put him back in the same house as Ron, which he hoped wasn’t going to happen since he had it on good authority that the hat would put him in Slytherin. Harry was already up when Hermione came in to get them, he had just been putting his shirt on, remembering they had to be up early that particular morning cause they were heading out. Though it meant that he got to watch Hermione try to wake Ron up.

“RON! WAKE. UP! Seriously! Even Harry’s awake!” Hermione shouted at the sleeping redhead.

“Five more minutes…” Ron groaned.

“Fred and George said something about with your brother Charlie home there will be no breakfast left if they slept in.” Harry hums and Ron shoots up and out of bed.

“Thanks Harry.” Hermione said, giving Harry a thankful look. “I’ll see you boys downstairs.”

Harry hummed in agreement while he finished packing his bags. Harry was still on the fence on if he could trust Hermione or not, but for now he wouldn’t risk it. Not until he knew for sure if the brunette could be trusted or not.

Before long he headed downstairs to go have some breakfast, not rushing since he’d lied about what the twins had said, not looking forward to the love potion that was bound to be lacing his food. He walked in silently, pouring himself a cup of coffee easily as he watched the Weasley family bustle around him, Fred and George not up yet and Charlie not in the room for whatever reason.

“Oh Harry you're all good? You're never up early.” Ron said coming into the kitchen and Harry had to hold back from a sharp sarcastic reply.

Harry actually quite liked mornings, especially if he got up early enough to catch the sunrise. But how would Ron know that? He never actually took the time to actually learn anything about him.

“Eh, just a weird morning I guess, I couldn't sleep anymore.” Harry hummed lying, shrugging trying to act normal about it, and not snap at the red haired man that his snoring kept him awake.

“Ah right, right, any idea why we gotta be up at the crack of dawn?” Ron asked, yawning.

“No idea mate, I just remember being told to be up early.” Harry said, inwardly cringing at himself and wishing this was over already.

Ron seemed to not care much after that as he set his sights on breakfast as Molly set it out.  Harry refills his coffee and takes a seat too. He was hoping the taste of coffee would overpower the love potion, and his hopes were proven right as he couldn’t taste the love potion and was able to actually enjoy his breakfast.

It wasn’t long after that they were heading off to who knows where. Harry was walking next to Hermione, he couldn’t exactly remember what Hermione had started talking about, but what he did notice was his glamour slipping. He could feel the panic bubbling up.

None of his brothers had noticed his panic either, only making it worse. It wasn’t until he felt
a tug and turned to see Hermione, giving him wide eyes but seemingly understanding Harry’s situation as she saw the panic in his eyes. She pulled him to the very back of the group, softly giving Harry tips on breathing.

“Just breathe in… and out.” Hermione said, smiling as Harry slowly started to calm down.

“See? Not that bad. It's going to be okay, sure I’m curious but I only want to know if you're ready to tell me.” Hermione says assuredly.

Harry let out a few even breaths as he calmed down even more then before, at this point Charlie had noticed Harry and Hermione trailing further back and came to check what was happening. His eyes going wide seeing Harry’s glamour had fallen.

“Shit” He muttered and quickly cast a new glamour over Harry, though he was glad to see Harry was calm. “Thanks Hermione, I’d rather Harry tell you, I hope you can understand.”

“It's not a problem, Harry’s my friend, I’m always going to be there if he needs me to be.” She says honestly.

“I’m glad,” Charlie says smiling. “Now come on, we’re falling behind.”

Hermione and Harry nodded following Charlie back to the group, only Fred and George having noticed the absence. Ron, Ginny and Arthur being none the wiser of what had happened.

As they got to the… boot? That made Harry confused as he looked at the Weasleys getting down on the dirt to grab the mankey boot. That made Harry grimace as he knew he had to join the red heads on the ground. He sighs as he follows the crowd, and hides his gramace he got down and grabs the boot.

In the next second they were flying through the air, swirling around them. Harry felt sick about it, making him dizzy. He was so glad to see the ground when it finally came into view he didn’t even care as he thudded against it, he was safe on earth again and none of his limbs went flying into the great swirling abyss he had come from.

“Come on Harry! Ya gotta get up! Look!” Ron called and Harry groaned, wishing his life could end right here.

But he had to get up and when he did he saw the sea of tents and the stadium in the distance, he couldn’t help but stare, he hadn’t known where they were going but he did know he genuinely likes quidditch and he would enjoy this.

Harry couldn’t help but sigh in relief when he got to share his room with Charlie after his eldest brother told Arthur about the panic attack before they had reached the boot. After that it was agreed Harry would stay with Charlie who could help Harry since Harry couldn’t exactly stay with Hermione.

“We have a few hours till the games start, we’ll have dinner and then head up into the stadium.” Arthur called, getting a chorus of agreement.

With that dinner got started and the tent soon became full of the scent of cooked food. Harry had gotten in some good reading time as he had waited, having set up his bed pretty fast, he was looking forward to getting a night of sleep without Ron’s horrid snoring.

“DINNERS READY!!”

And with that the race to get a proper portion of food before the black hole that is Ron Weasley ate everything. He managed to get a decent seat near the food, beating out his brothers to the table.

Dinner with the Weasley family was and has always been a chaotic affair, now Harry just had to hide how much he hated some of this family while also hiding how much he just wanted to be with his brothers over his ‘best friend’. Though he was glad he could seemingly trust Hermione, it made the truth less painful honestly.

He just hoped that this trip wouldn’t end up a disaster like the rest of his life.
