Braids

*5-year-old Mina and Chaeyoung*

-Myoui Residence-

Mrs. Myoui frowns and wonders why her precious daughter cries as she braids her hair before she goes to school.

"Mina honey what's wrong?" She asks but Mina just shakes her head and continues to cry.

"Does it hurt when I tie your hair?" and again, Mina continues shaking her head and sobs.

"Are you still hungry?" still, Mrs. Myoui gets the same response from little Mina.

"Oh dear, what should I do? Please Mina baby, tell Mommy what you want. Don't cry now please." Mrs. Myoui said in worry as she rubs her daughter's back.

"My...my Ch-Chaeyoungie~" Mina mutters while crying.

"Chaeyoung?" Mina greatly nods and cries harder.

-Son Residence-

"Stop crying now sweetie, why don't you want to go to school yet?" Mrs. Son asks in worry as she tries to remove little Chaeyoung's arms from hugging tightly around the table's leg

"No mama! We can't leave yet!" She cries louder and was about to drive Mrs. Son insane.

"You better explain now little missy"

"Minari~ She needs me..I promised her!" Chaeyoung replied as she continues wailing her heart out.

"What do you mean-"

Mrs. Son was cut off when her phone rang she raked her hair in frustration.

She saw her best friend's name on the ID caller so she immediately picked it up.

"Sachiko what should I do? Chaeyoung's crying she said Mina needs her."

"She's crying too? Aigoo these kids, Mina said she also wants little Chaeyoung, can you come over?"

"Okay we'll be there in 5 minutes." Mrs. Son said and ended the call.

She smiles at crying Chaeyoung and wipes her tears, "Don't cry now baby, we'll go to Mina now."

The cub immediately stopped crying and looked up at her mom, "Really mommy?" she asks a smile starts to appear upon her face.

"Yes baby, let's go." Mrs. Son said. Finally Chaeyoung lets go of the table's leg and Mrs. Son carries her and also brings Chaeyoung's school bag.

Luckily, they're just 3 houses away from the Myoui's.

-Myoui Residence-

"Sweetie stop crying now Chaeyoung is coming." Mrs. Myoui said while carrying Mina and soothing her back.

Suddenly there's a knock on Mina's bedroom door and as it opens it revealed Mrs. Son carrying Chaeyoung.

She immediately put Chaeyoung down who quickly ran off to Mina.

The cute penguin got down from her mom as well to receive Chaeyoung in her arms.

Chaeyoung wipes Mina's tears and kisses her cheek.

"Stop crying MinMin I'm here now like I promised." Chaeyoung said cutely as she sobs with her.

Finally Mina sat down the chair, Chaeyoung started combing her hair and braided it.

The two moms chuckled and shake their heads at how cute their children could be.

Messy and uneven but that's how Mina liked it the most since it was done by Chaeyoung.

The penguin finally smiles as she looks in the mirror.

"Thank you Chaeyoungie I love it." she told the cub and hugged her.

They just learned how to braid their hair last week and Chaeyoung promised to do Mina's hair when they come back to school.

"Only Chaeyoung can braid my hair ok Mommy?"

Mina told her mom and Mrs. Myoui nods with a smile.

"Ok kids are you ready for school now?"

Mina and Chaeyoung hold hands, 'Yes!'
