The Markets (Chapter 4)

I'm writing this at 2AM almost 3 so if it's bad don't blame me, blame how late it is.

Hunter's POV:

"Where are we going?" Gus asked tilting his head slightly, "The Markets." I responded. I heard something head towards there but I cant tell them that since they'll just say 'it's too dangerous!'. Willow, Amity, and Gus summoned their staff, I tried summoning mine though it failed as Flapjack is gone. I felt my eyes swell up a bit thinking about him, though I wiped my tears and tried focusing on what's going on right now. "Gus, can I fly on your staff?" I asked. "Of course." He hopped on it standing signaling that I can get on in the back. I got on the back of the staff looking at the ground noticing we were getting higher and higher up off the ground.

I then glanced at the others, Camila was with Amity and Luz was riding with Willow. My eyes then going back to the ground, I realized we were there. As we reached the ground I got off the staff safely. "Maybe if we look in the markets we can find something?" Gus suggested. "There's no point to look for something we don't need." Willow responded finally reaching the ground with Luz hopping off of Clover dangerously. "What we need is to find others, not items." Luz added. "I meant for food because I don't think anyone brought any." Gus said defending himself. "We can worry about food later, right now we need to find Belos." I replied getting angry, we spent an hour doing useless things when we could've been trying to find him the whole time.

Gus's POV

I honestly feel bad for Hunter, it's so obvious that he misses flapjack. I mean, we all do but he was the closest to him. I decide to get past the food situation and comfort Hunter instead. I go up to him and start hugging him, he couldn't hold it together anymore and started bursting out in tears.

"there there." I'd rub his back in a circular motion, I want to cry too but right now I need to focus on Hunter. Not Matty or my dad. I took a deep breath in "I'm here for you Hunter, you shouldn't feel the need to hold your emotions in." I let the breath I was holding in my throat out after saying that. Everyone else walked towards us to join in on the hug with Hunter.

After a few seconds we all let go of the hug. I smiled at Hunter, he was such a good friend and I hate to see him sad. He smiled back after wiping his tears, "we should really get back to finding others, I mean we need help before trying to plan an attack on Belos." Hunter said with a shaky tone. I nodded and we all started walking down the markets area yelling out to see if anyone is near.

So far, no one was here at all. "I wonder where everyone is..?" I turned around and started walking backwards facing everyone else. "Do you think the collector has something to do with this..?" Luz replied looking kind of down. Everyone is falling apart, I wish we could at least find someone. After some more walking and talking, I heard a familiar voice yell "AUGUSTUS PORTER?" I slightly turned around to see a figure jumping on me...

IM SO SORRY THAT THIS CHAPTER TOOK SO LONG, I HAD EXTREME WRITERS BLOCK!! BUT IM BACK NOW, I PROMISE THE NEXT CHAPTER WONT BE AS LONG. ALSO THE REUNION FOR THEM IS NEXT CHAPTER, ARE YOU EXCITED BC I AM!1!1!1
