I squinted my eyes in anger.
"Watch your mouth!" I spat.

Jack puffed more smoke into the air. The nicotine smoke hitting my face.

"You know I was expecting that answer. So I'm not surprised." he dipped his hand in his suit pocket and brought a folded picture. "Maybe this will give you a clue of what I'm talking about."

He extended his hand toward me but I refused to collect the photo. He stepped forward and placed the folded piece on the counter. He looked at me and smiled. "Have fun pretty boy."

I watched him walk out. I suddenly lost all appetite.

I turned to leave. But stopped in my tracks. It was tempting I wouldn't lie. Whose photo was it?

My father?

Thinking about what Khun Korn said suddenly made me changed my mind. I walked to the counter and snatched the picture. Opening it, the crumbled face of my father came to view. I staggered backwards. I turned the back, there was a date or was it an address written behind it.

I didn't wait to confirm. I ran out of the building, my eyes searched the area for Jack, he wasn't anywhere near the casino.

"Young Master, what is the problem?" it was Arm running behind me. "Did anybody harrass you?" He asked, almost pulling out his gun

"No. I'm fine," I replied.

I lied. I exhaled air, almost fuming with anger. Deep down I wasn't fine.

I spent my day at the shooting arena with my best friends Tay and Time. They came visiting when I informed them of my gunshot wound. The news about my wound was circulated discreetly because the people who carried out the attack were yet to be identified.

Sources said they were not Jack's men. The bullet imprints found in my body was taken to a lab to trace where it was purchased.

I aimed at a target, trying hard to focus on the target. I pulled the trigger and missed.

"Enough already," Tey said, taking the gun from me. "You will hurt yourself."

Pains hit my abdomen as the muscles spasmed from too much stress. I rubbed the wound and breathed. "I hate this." I muttered.

"You're not in good shape to aim correctly now. Give it time." Tey chided.

I inhaled and waked to the cushion area to rest. Out of the fifty or so rounds of gunshot I fired at the target about ten hit the bullseye. It was poor. My skills had gone down, since I stopped going out to mafia wars.

I now had my family to protect, and a husband to love. Porsche came first in any decision I had to make. And protecting him was top priority.

"How is Porsche?" Tey asked as soon as we relaxed on the chairs, ready to drink our freshly prepared watermelon juice.

"He's okay. Why do you ask?"

Tey chuckled. "So protective of him. I was just asking for a friend."

"Well, Porsche is married now, you shouldn't ask of him without a good reason," I smirked.

Tey laughed. "haha... What has love done to our friend Time?"

"I told you he was far gone. Porsche bewitched him!" Time chuckled.

We all laughed at the joke. It was a hearty laugh as I needed it to lighten my mood.

"How are you two getting along?" I asked curious about these two. They've been best friends since we were kids. Last time Tey called me, he sounded furious about Time going on dates with other men. I had told Tey to give him space. He was probably in a phase.

Tey quickly showed me his left hand and pointed on a ring on a finger. "Time gave me a ring."

"Really? When is the date then?"

Tey waved his hand. "There is no date yet."

Time held Tey's hand. "Why don't you say it like it happened. I proposed."

Tey flicked his finger at Time's forehead. "No you didn't."

"How did you get the ring if I didn't propose?"

"Because my mom threatened you huh..."

Time recoiled and laughed. "Tey, you didn't have to involve your mom in our relationship..."

I watch the two lovebirds bicker back and forth about their complicated love life. Their relationship was indeed complicated. One sided love can be tough especially if the other person is not understanding. For Tey and Time,

Tey have been understanding and tolerating all of Time excesses. If they had finally reached an agreement to love each other wholly, I think that was a huge step.

I sipped my drink and managed to be distracted for the rest of the evening.
