Chapter 13: quick talks and search

Team RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, Jun, and Jaune were being lead by Sivir as they were walking out of the dock station and towards Shade Academy where they were taken to the guest dorm building and were sent into their rooms

Team RW_Y, JNPR, and. CFVY walked to their designated dorms as were Jun and Jaune, Blake followed behind the two but was stopped by Sivir who grabbed Blake by the shoulder

"And where do you think you're going?" Sivir asked sounding annoyed

"I'm just going with my..... acquaintances" Blake said as Sivir raised an eyebrow at that as Blake sighed "I don't think it would be appropriate to call them as friends yet...."

"Shouldn't you be going with your teammates?" Sivir asked again as Blake flinched

"We.... had a disagreement...." Sivir would look at Blake's cat ears and sighs

"My guess you tried hiding your faunus traits from them?" Sivir questioned but was met by silence which confirmed her suspicions "Fine you can go with blondie" Sivir said uninterested as she walks away as Blake runs to catch up with Jaune

Sivir however stopped in her tracks then turned around and looked at Blake who was still catching up to Jaune, Sivir used her semblance "Track" and she couldn't help but shiver looking at them

"Evil....." Sivir mutters in fear as she immediately walks away from them

The next day after their arrival, all students were sent off to find the missing Winchesters, each first year team however had a professor accompanying them, Oobleck with RWBY, Glynda with JNPR, with Jaune and Jun? Well they had....

"Come on you two, adventure awaits!" Professor Peter Port exclaimed enthusiastically, to which both students nodded and followed him towards Shade's vehicle garage

Jun however "Of all the teachers that they could've given us it had to be professer Port?" Jun complained but before Port could respond

"Well in all honesty, we might have the better advantage in dealing with any grimm now, I mean what's a grimm studies teacher if they don't know how to deal with grimm? So in all honesty, I think we'll have a better time" Jaune said surprising both Port and Jun

"How though? I mean Oobleck would be better-" Jun asks wanting to know Jaune's thoughts

"-In navigation, we don't even have any other clues to where they've gone except for the crashed bullhead, so how would Oobleck help?" Jaune said making Jun quiet since Jaune had a point there "See? We got an advantage"

Port only looked down in saddness "I.... didn't think you'd speak highly about me like that mr. Jaune" Port spoke softly as Jaune looks at his professor

"I just spoke the truth, while you bore everyone to death with your stories your lessons should be taken with lots of value, your stories? Should be toned down" Jaune said making Port think about Jaune's words

"I see.... thank you for the complient, and I'm sorry that I didn't help you in your worst mr. Jaune-"

"-It's okay professor, just do your job properly"

Port nodded at this and as they at the garage, Port pulls out his scroll as he taps on the screen opening the garage doors, behind the doors were old atlesian dune buggies, old vehicles atlas used when entering the sandy lands of Vacuo for the first time

Jaune walks past both of them and sat down in the driver's seat which surprised them both, Jaune notices their stares

"What both of you think I fake driving?" Jaune questioned sarcastically as Port and Jun shook their heads "Well hop in"

Jun got in the front seat and Port went in the back, Jaune drove the dune buggy outside of the school campus and into the vast desert. Their search kept on going for hours and hours even finding many oasis in their travels, currently Port was taking a nap and so was Jun

It was getting boring so to say, that is until....

'So Jaune.... I have something to ask'

'Go on?' Jaune questioned

'I really thought you were gonna scream on this..... prideful person, care to explain for you know.... not screaming bloody murder at him?'

'Well I don't really hate any of the professors except for Goodwitch, she deserves to rot but the rest? Well.... I only wished they could've helped me not to mention that they're quite passionate about what they teach, Port with grimm and Oobleck with history, having gone from Beacon means Ozpin or the council will need to find replacements and well.... with how huntsmen and huntresses act nowadays, this will be a pain in the ass for me and Ozpin but mostly Ozpin' Jaune explained as Joraal nodded

Jaune looks around and notices smoke clouds rising up behind a hill, he narrows his gaze at it as he immediately turns the dune buggy towards to travel at its direction

The turn caused both Jun and Port to wake up as Jun turned towards Jaune and notices his look

"Are you okay?" Jun asks

"Yeah though I believe we found a clue" Jaune said as Jun and Port saw what Jaune was looking at and gotten ready

Jaune stops the buggy near the peak as they all got off the buggy and walked their way up to the peak, as they got up they immediately got down and laid down on their stomachs as they saw something that was unexpected

The place they were at was a valley surrounding a raider camp, the smoke came from the center where a large campfire was at, Jaune took out his binoculars as scouted the area

There near the center were councilman and councilwoman Winchester as well as their the council guards, they were all tied up and caged in but Jaune notices that some of the council guards were being let out of the cage, Jaune's gaze followed until they reached the bonfire where the council guards were immediately executed and their bodies tossed into the fire

Seeing this Jaune sighed as Port takes out his scroll and called the others "This is professor Port speaking, mr. Jaune has located the Winchesters" Port said shocking those from Beacon while those from Vacuo were glad "We'll need back-"

"-Professor look at where they're at" Jaune interrupted as Port looked at Jaune but complied and looked at his scroll and sees that no one was nearby them

"I saw the guards being executed and if we don't act fast the Winchesters are next" Jaune explained but he was overheard by Port's scroll and everyone heard what Jaune said and were shocked and terrified, none more than Cardin Winchester himself

"So then what do we do?" Jun asked

Jaune looked back at the camp as saw that they had a stable full of large crocodiles, he also notices that the crocodiles looked VERY hungry as he also notices most of them looking at the donkeys, horses, chickens, and pigs that were weirdly next to the crocodiles

"Well.... I have a plan" Jaune said with a smirk
