Special Chapter 1: the forgotten Arc

Joraal Arc was a noble son of the Arc Patriarch, his father George Arc, and his mother Bella Rose, Joraal had five older sisters, the first two are Jane and Jackie who were chefs for the Shuriman Emperor then the other three were Jessie, Jenny, and Jennifer who all excelled in combat

Joraal however excelled in being a tactician, though he can hold out on his own in combat, however his family didn't care for intellect, they only cared for power and fame, the latter of which is something Joraal was against, Joraal would go out of his way to help others even with his lack of combat skills, he had a golden heart

One day, the Sun Disc of Shurima rises from the sands, a god maker revealed itself to the kingdom and everyone worshiped it, the Sun Disc created warriors known as the Ascended or by their other name, the Sunborn, golden warriors with golden hearts

They were the guardians of Shurima and were seen as heroes, however there were also the Baccai, who were broken Sunborn, failures of ascension, because of their dark hearts, they are seen as a stain in Shurima and some hide in their shame or become servants to the ascended

One day, Joraal, Jessie, Jenny, Jennifier and their comrades were chosen to ascend into becoming Sunborn, many people had faith in them.... all except the Arc family who wanted Joraal to become a Baccai and become a slave to his sisters

When the light of the Sun Disc glowed upon them, Jessie became a boar-like Baccai, Jenny became a Leech-like Baccai, and Jennifer became a rat-like Baccai. This shocked the Arc family but when they saw Joraal, their shock was replaced with rage as Joraal became an Ascended which surprised him, every warrior became an ascended except for the three Arc sisters that were turned into Baccai were ridiculed and insulted for being liars and deceivers

They brought so much shame to the point that George and Bella disowned the three sisters but they tried their best to get Joraal's attention

Joraal didn't care for their pleas or calls, Bella even tempted Joraal with her own body but was shocked when Joraal denied her even goes as far as explaining that he sees romance as a waste of time

George heard about what Bella did and was shocked to the point he announced a divorce and left Shurima moving to the East

Bella as well as her Baccai daughters were seen a stain in Shurima and were banished to the North, the last two Arc sisters Jane and Jackie still continued with their life but in silence as punishment of what their parents had done

Joraal would often visit them and encourage them to keep up the good work which surprised many people, some thought of him as kind and caring, others saw it as foolish

Joraal's reason was because he sees them as strangers in need of desperate help

During this act of kindness, Jane and Jackie's hate for Joraal slowly began to fade away to the point they gave him smiles when serving him food

Things were going well.....

Until the void came.....

The void was a force, a parasite to Runeterra, as it fed itself with the life of the nearby deserts, these voidborn constantly attack Shurima since the first void gate appeared near the center of the capital city

The Sunborn were sent to kill these monsters, but they also suffered many losses, Joraal was no exception, he lost many comrades and friends even Jane and Jackie who saved Joraal from getting killed have fallen during the war

In the end, the ascended won, but they also lost, with their sanity slowly drifting away, those who lived on began to wonder what they should do because during the war, their emperor had died and now they need a new leader

Slowly but surely they began arguing with each other of who should take leadership with led to many brawls occurring

After every brawl that happens both fighters are healed by Xolaani, she was the only one who didn't fought for leadership.....

Or so they thought, because once Xolaani has healed all of her comrades, she revealed her true plan of world domination with mind control

Her fellow Sunborns called her a coward for refusing to use force to dominate, to which Xolaani retaliated by corrupting the Sunborn with her blood magic slowly breaking them

However before Xolaani could do much, the four Maidens came and use their powers to seal and bound Xolaani in her own weapon

The Sunborns that Xolaani corrupted began causing terror and rampage through the world to the brink of extinction

The four Maidens did the same trick they used to seal and bound Xolaani in her own weapon towards the other corrupted Sunborn who now call themselves as The Darkins

Joraal was one of these Darkins who's sanity began to crumble after the void war to the point he had lost all memories of his beginning, his family, and who he was before his corruption, he remembers his name, his occupation and everything else but his family and the life he had lived before

George Arc meanwhile formed a new family and decided to remove the family he had in Shurima from every painting he commissioned

Bella escaped her daughters after they went insane and tried to kill her, she ended up going to Patch Island in Vale where everything was more relaxing

Jessie, Jenny, and Jennifer were last heard in the dragon continent and their current status is unknown

This was Joraal's story.... the forgotten Arc, a boy who only wanted to become a hero but his parents refused seeing his Golden Heart, he became a hero but Joraal ended up paying a price too high for him to give.... his sanity
