Splinter ushered the family out of the med bay to force Maria to rest after the intense conversation. He banned them all from going back in for at least the next five hours so she could get some sleep. Giving exception for if the monitors went off, alerting a medical emergency. The father brought her a couple blankets and made sure they were comfortable before closing up the room and returning to his recliner.

The rest of the family congregated in the kitchen to discuss what they had just learned.

"What do you guys think of all this? I'm still in shock." April wrapped her arms around herself.

"The stuff about Big Mama should surprise me more than it does." Donnie admitted.

"Do we trust her?" Mikey's face was painted with uncertainty, body mirroring April's.

"Do we think they're telling the truth?" Casey added.

"Well Raph believes her." The older brother said defiantly, crossing his arms.

"So do I." Leo agreed from his spot leaning against the wall, arms also crossed. "If this was some sort of scheme against us, it wouldn't be Big Mama's style. Plus there's nothing to gain. She already knows we live down here."

"And we know she's not a mutant or any sort of construct from looking at her DNA. A true turtle yokai, which we just haven't seen before." Donnie added.

"So we'll let her stay?!?" Mikey's eyes grew wide with excitement and he clasped his hands together beside his face. "I've always wanted another sister -- er, I mean, femme sibling!"

"Don't get your hopes up too high, Miguel. We don't even know if she'll wanna stick around after she's healed." Leo pushed off from the wall. "Big Mama has eyes all over the city, so it just makes sense that she would hide in the sewers. Doesn't mean she was looking to find us to help her out."

"Yeah, but we'll offer her a place to stay, right?" Mikey gave them all puppy-dog eyes.

"We do have a couple spare rooms since the renovation. She could take the one next to Barry's." Donnie added, looking between Leo and Raph.

"If she wants to stick around, I say she can stay. What do you think, big bro?" Leo joined the rest in looking to Raph.

"Casey! You know her at all from the future?" Raph redirected.

"Maybe... I think I recognize her from pictures in someone's bunk. But I don't remember knowing her personally." Casey shrugged.

"Do you think we should we trust her? Like, you don't remember her from someone's dart board, right?" April asked.

"No..." He wracked his brain for a moment. "I think they were personal photos. Like she meant a lot to some people in the resistance. I wouldn't let my guard down entirely, though, just in case."

"That's good enough for me! Just keep an eye out for anything suspicious going on." Raph held up a finger, striking a leader pose with the other hand a fist on his waist.

They were all quiet in a shared moment of uncertainty. No one was sure what to do now.

Mikey's face drooped with disappointment, pouting, "Now all I wanna do is go talk to Maria some mooooorrreee."

"Let's go finish the movie. We'll have tons of time to chat with her once she's rested." Raph put a hand on the youngest turtle's shoulder.

So they all went back to the tv room. Each tried to concentrate on the movie, thoughts wandering to the turtle in the med bay.
