Green Home rules of survival:

ONE: Move in groups of two or more. Report anything unusual immediately.

TWO: Eat once a day. Only the prescribed amount is distributed.

THREE: Check everyone's temperature every night at 8 pm. Quarantine the infected.

Sung-hyo was barely on the first floor for most of her days. Instead, she was helping Hyun-su with his daily trips throughout the Green Home floors.

Ji-ji was still against the decision to let Sung-hyo go up, but the girl wouldn't back down.

She didn't want Hyun-su to keep going up there by himself. It was like sending an untrained zookeeper into a tiger's den.

Sung-hyo was present for a few of the training sessions the tenants were doing. They were mostly for what they must do if a monster were to attack the first floor while Hyun-su was gone.

Despite most of it being reasonably clever and helpful, Sung-hyo couldn't help but feel that when a monster did attack the first floor, the only people who'd actually be calm and collected were Eun-hyeok, Yi-kyung and Ji-ji.

She also felt she should mention the protein monster to Eun-hyeok, especially with how big it was. No way they'd be able to lift it in a small green net.

With every day that passed, it slowly began to feel the same to Sung-hyo. Almost like her school days.

First Period: Gather your things together and head up the stairs.

Second Period: Find essentials and things requested by the tenants.

Lunch: Break at Sung-hyo or Hyun-su's apartment. Whichever was closer.

Third Period: Make their way back to the first floor.

Fourth Period: Spend half an hour with Hyun-su, the gate guarding them.

Final Period: Dinner, last talk with Hyun-su and then bed.

Sung-hyo also didn't like how despite all the requests and gratitude Hyun-su was given by the tenants, they all still saw him as a monster.

A beast.

Anything but a teenage boy.

It was one particular evening that someone finally spoke up.

That evening was when Sung-hyo had a spare rucksack with her, filled with every available battery Hyun-su and Sung-hyo had found.

She'd shaken the batteries out and onto Eun-hyeok's desk, not saying a word before leaving the room. She'd been feeling really pissed off that day, coincidentally.

As Sung-hyo was handing some dog food to Hye-in, she watched Hyun-su take the key from Du-sik, unlock the room and then hand the key and his weapon to Du-sik, who seemed upset that Hyun-su was so neutral about this whole thing.

After Hyun-su had entered the room and shut the door behind him, Du-sik made his way to where Eun-hyeok was.

Eun-hyeok didn't look up from the notebook he was reading as he acknowledged Du-sik... in a way. "Did you shut down the elevator? We're running out of power and it's dangerous, so we'll run it in case of emergency only."

"What we're doing to Hyun-su, is it right?" Du-sik questioned, having chucked the key to the room onto the table. "He didn't harm anyone. We aren't sure if he'll turn into a monster. Locking him up like that-"
