"So, what's her story?" I ask Hayden,
while we walk down the hall, my
right arm hooked around his left one.

He laughs and looks at the woman
I asked about "I didn't say I could
do that, I read people's
emotions based on how they act."

I roll my eyes and pull him into a
bar room "Well, how is that fun?"

He sighs and shakes his head, pretending
to he upset. "Sorry, I didn't realize
I was here for your amusement" I shrug
and smile "You'll do better next time."

I look around the room and see more people, which isn't strange, but this room looks like the inside of a high-end bar.

It has warm lights that shine from neon strips under the furniture,
small wood tables with mauve purple stools, and a bar that also has stools.

I've been to a lot of bars, and I mean
hundreds of bars, in different countries,
but I haven't seen one that has the same
type of bar, it's pretty but doesn't
look anything like the rest of the house.

The shape of the bar is square so it's in
the middle of the room and easy
to access. The wall behind it looks like
it has hundreds of dots,
with glass shelves and reflective mirrors

He unhooks his arm and walks toward
the bar, leaning against it, patiently
waiting for the bartender. He turns
to me and says "What's your drink?"

I walk up to him and sit on one of the
empty stools "Bourbon, on the rock."
he nods and laughs "Nothing fruity?"

I shake my head and look around the
room, seeing nobody I know, meaning
I don't have to worry. He orders our
drinks and looks at himself in the mirror.

While we were walking around I saw
Xavier, his boyfriend wasn't with him but
he was standing with his husband, Max.

I wish I could've gotten closer so
I could listen to what they were saying,
but it would've been suspicious.

"Marceline," I hear someone say in a
soft but surprised voice,

I turn to the source of the noise and
see Eden in a beautiful, floral green
dress, her black hair tied up into a bun
with two front pieces of her bangs curled.

She hugs me so swiftly that I almost
fall out of my chair, I feel her tears
fall onto the fabric of my dress,
soaking through the lining, I rub
my hand on her upper back and laugh

"I'm happy to see you too," she laughs
and dries her tears with the back of her
hand "You're alive," she mumbles,
it's hard to hear because of the loud
noise in the room and her crying voice.

I nod my head and smile, someone
taps my back and I turn to see
Hayden, forgetting he was there.
He has confusion in his eyes but
a wide grin on his face "Who's this?"
