Ruby's POV

I open my eyes slowley,-sweetie I got dinner for you- it's Miss Angel.
I sit after a little while.
It's Spaghetti I see.
-how was your nap? Was it good?- she asks.
I nod and take my plate.
She puts a cup of orange juice on my nightstand.
-wanna hear the good news?- she asks.
I nod.
-a few people are interested and want to see you- she says, I look at her.
My eyes say,"for real?"
She smiles.
-it's true, who knows maybe they'll adopt you- she says, I look down.
-sorry, i- shouldn't have used that word- she says.
-it's ok- I whisper.
-enjoy your food, I'll be back in an hour- she says, I nod.
She leaves my room.
I start eating, I'm quite hungry.
I'm done eating and drinking within 20 minutes.
Interested in me? Huh, no one is.
The only people who were interested in loving me were my parents.
No one else.
I overthink overthinking right now, wich isn't quite healthy for my head.
I just want someone to hug me, say it's okay and stay with me.
Is that too much... too ask?

((NEXT DAY))

I just woke up twenty minutes ago, I will be meeting the people that are interested in me and wanna get to know me. Well Goodluck with this, I'm a silent kid.
But maybe they are okey people who knows, I'm sitting in a corner again, not the music room this time but the dining room.
I just ate breakfast, toast, eggs and milk.
I just wanna hide in my bed again...
Claudi walks up to me.
-they are hereee!- she says, she is always too excited for everything.
I mean i appreciate that she wants to see me laugh about it but she sucks at being funny.
I follow her to a room.
I see four young men sitting with Angel at a table.
I hide behind Claudi.
-Ruby, don't be shy. Come on- Angel says.
Claudi smiles at me.
I peek my head out.
Hm, they look, normal.
-come say Hello- Angel says, I hate this, meeting new people.
I walk to Angel.
-hi- I say and wave awkwardly.
-hi ruby, I'm ashton- one of them says, he shows his hand.
I shake his hand lightly and nod.
-Ruby is very shy- Angel says.
I like it, being shy.
-so am i, my name is Luke. High five?- he says, I give him a high five and I smile a little.
Just a little bit.
Tiny bit.
-I'm michael-
I shake his hand too.
-cool hair- I say without emotion.
-thank you- he says while smiling.
-Im Calum, cool guy cal- the boy with the black hair says.
I shake his hand too lightly.
I sit on Angel's lap slowley, pouting my lips a little, I get up from her lap.
Feeling uncomfortable, I sit in a corner again.
-is this something she does alot?- Luke asks.
-yes, it's a long story- Angel says.
-we have time- Ashton says.
-a year ago, when Ruby was nine... her parents came to her school to talk with her teacher about her grades. But also on that day, a school shooting happened- she explains, I whine and cover my ears.

Michael's POV

Ruby closes her eyes and whines after Angel mentions "school shooting" Jesus christ...
She covers her ears as well.
-uh, is she okay?- I ask.
Angel turns her head to Ruby
-don't worry, she will be fine this happens alot. Now she wants space- Angel explains.
-so, where was i? Ah yes, and uh, cops found her holding her mother's dead body.... on cameras they saw that her mum catched a bullet meant for Ruby.
And her father died because of a gunshot soon after. Since this happened, she hasn't talked with anyone. She only nods or shakes her head most of the time- Angel explains.
-that sounds... horrible- Ashton says.
-SHUT UUUUP!- we suddenly hear Ruby shout.
She starts breathing heavy.
-this again- Angel whispers, clearly sounding annoyed.
Sometimes ruby hits her own head.
-what kind of caretaker are you?! She is having a panic attack for fuckssake!- Ashton shouts, he runs over to Ruby.
Angel stays silent.
I look in Ruby's eyes after she opened them.
-look at me sweetheart- Ashton says, taking her hands off her ears carefully.
She looks at ashton.
-breathe with me okay?-

Ashton finds a way to calm her down.
-see? You are here, not there- Ashton says, whiping tears away from her cheeks.
Ruby smiles a little.
-what do you guys usually do when this happens- Calum asks, leaning his shoulder against the wall.
-well, we usually just give her space and try to shake her back to reality most of the time- Angel explains.
-that's not a good way- I say.
-she barely talks, so it's hard to help her- Angel tells us.
Hm....
