Ruby's POV

I look around this room while I sit in a corner, I'm hugging my legs tight.
I see other children playing with instruments.
I like music, but i like being alone while doing it. No one here understands this, wich makes me coming out of my shell pretty hard to do.
I sigh and starre at the floor.
Then I look around me again.

I absolutely hate this orphanage, it sucks

I absolutely hate this orphanage, it sucks.
No one understands me, well maybe because I don't really talk with anyone.
But when I do they tell me that me feeling shit is just a phase of some sorts.

Suddenly someone starts playing the drums, I exhale deep.
I cover my ears, oh no, here come the flashbacks.
I start screaming, my eyes are shut.
Someone hugs me.
-STOP PLAYING THE DRUMS- I hear someone shout.

(Angel's POV)
I hold Ruby tight, hoping that she will stop screaming soon. Masha makes sure everyone leaves the room to give ruby her space.
It's her trauma, her parents got killed in a school shooting, wich is why she is scared of loud noises, banging noises mostly.
They sound like gunshots to her.
She cries out loud after she stops screaming.
-oh baby, I got you- I whisper.
I lift her up, I carry  her back to her room.
I push the blanket away and I lay her in bed.
She is still shaking, I put her in her blanket.
I take a seat on her bed.
-it's okay sweetie- I say.
It took her 30 minutes to stop crying.
She whines, I whipe her tears away using my thumps.
-masha can you bring me a glass of water?- I ask Masha while looking at her.
-yes, ofcourse- she says and leaves.
I grab and hold her right hand.
She looks at me, breathing fast still.
-are you okay now hm?- I ask.
She nods slowley.
I smile at her.
-I got news that might make you feel a little bit happier- I say, her eyes are closing a little.
-later hm? You look tired- I say.
She mumbles.
Masha comes back with a Glass of water, she drinks from the glass alot.
-take a nap, you can eat dinner in your room later okay?- I tell her.
She nods.
I let her hand go and I get up from her bed.
She hides herself under her blanket.
-sweet dreams- I say, me and Masha both leave her room, closing the door behind us.
