Hello!

Here is the continuation of the previous chapter.

Chapter 20 _ Overcoming a Transformation.

'It looks like it was much worse than mine'

Lock noticed his doppelganger's lost eyes. The way those eyes were bewildered and fragile as they looked at Lock.

It was weird.

It made Lock remember a person who has nothing left and is lost by blaming himself. It was similar to the look Lock had in the battle at Death Canyon, blaming himself for not being able to transform.

And it wasn't funny at all to see that kind of look on his doppelganger either.

'Is he in the same state as I was at that moment?'

But that doesn't explain the reason behind those deep eyes, which even Lock didn't get to have. And that makes Lock think that his counterpart has suffered more than he has.

But in what ways did he suffer more than Lock?

And it seems to be serious, because Choi Han* and Rosalyn* keep trying to comfort him.

It's… odd, to say the least.

Lock doesn't know what his doppelganger is feeling, but he tries to figure out his feelings by looking into his eyes.

{Chapter 31 – You… (6)

Cale put some stuff into a magic bag and headed to the arena. The residence’s underground arena. Count Henituse’s territory was famous for its wealth, but that wealth was supported by military strength. How would they be able to survive next to the Forest of Darkness and the dangerous monsters contained within it without a strong military strength?}

"It was not a strong enough force to withstand the war"

"Who said that?"

Cale* will punch whoever said that to death.

But the coward didn't come forward even with Cale's question.

"Let's go! Who said that? The Henituse Territory didn't have enough strength, but let's see if you who said that have it too, right?! A hit! Let's see if you can withstand a hit!"

"Cale*"

"What is it, Rok Soo?"

Cale* is very, very stressed.

He knows his Territory didn't resist, okay? He doesn't need to be reminded by someone else, he remembers that even without needing someone else to do it for him, everyday.

What's more, his siblings don't need to hear that phrase. They don't have to suffer like this remembering the state of the Territory or the noises the battle caused.

"Leave it alone"

'Leave it alone?'

Cale* stared at Rok Soo for a while before turning to the front.

"Hope-"

"They go"

Rok Soo really meant it. Those shitty nobles who only pay attention to their own navels are going to suffer. When the real war started, there wasn't a very big divide between commoners, nobles and royalty. All were hit. Of course, commoners suffered more casualties due to lack of money and opportunity to receive and get greater protection, or more food. But the nobles also suffered. After all, most died from enemy attacks.

{That was why their residences had underground training arenas that were larger and better than most Duke or Marquis’s residences. Cale gave an order as soon as they entered the large underground arena.}
