As I lie awake in my bed,
the cold air outside made my heart shiver.
The trees kept swaying as if they were there to dance with me,
and so did the big white moon who illuminated my vision.

Minutes after,
I felt my heart at ease.
An unknown feeling crept into my chest.
Was it peace? Was it forgiveness? Was it love?

I never thought this day would come.
For 3 and a half months,
I've been trying to remain unbroken.
Little did I know- it's my fragility that made my heart torn.

I pretended to be like the moon,
shining from afar but was going through phases after phases.
I did not understand why it had to be this way.
Why did it take me this long to realize what have gone wrong?

A pat on my shoulder astonished me,
there was a fairy.
She told me it was never my fault all along.
She said,
"You had to break so you could see for yourself that broken things are still beautiful. You had to break so you could be able to realize that love was a weapon so deadly that it broke your entire soul. Now, you need not to be afraid of it anymore. You've been through all the darkest times of your life because your heart was often trampled upon by those who abused it. It was never your fault why some people had to leave in your life, even if you badly wanted them to stay. Again, it was never your fault. It was their choice that made them to."

I cried in so much tears.
Now, I can finally open my heart again.
This marks the beginning of my awakening.
This is where my heart breaks and begins to mend.
