After a few more rounds of chasing, Gus decided to have a classic game of: Chicken Fight. Luz was about to team with Willow but Hunter swam under her and carried her up before Luz spoke, leaving her and Amity. Gus just wanting to watch them, also going with the plan that the three of them made. Luz carried Amity on her shoulder and they started the match. Pushing each other until Amity fell. Even though they didn't care about winning or losing, the three of them had something upon their sleeve.
After being in the pool about two hours, they got out and went to the water fountain. They ran around it, chasing each other. Hunter took out his beach ball and threw it at Amity who was unaware. He quickly picked it up and passed it to Luz who was looking at one of the fountain and took the ball when Hunter gave it. Amity turned around and saw Luz holding it, she started chasing Luz. Luz just ran not knowing what she did but she ran. Eventually, Gus took this advantage to call Luz making her stop and turn around then Gus tripped Amity.
Amity tripped and fell onto Luz. Landing on the ground, Amity on top of Luz. "Oh my god! Luz are you alright?" She apologized. She was about to get up when Luz grabbed Amity back and pulled her in. "Hey let me go!" She yelled. "Nope, that's what you get for chasing me." A smile on her face. "Well you threw that ball at me," she whined. "No I didn't. I got it from Hunter," she denied. They turned to the three of them who had smug grins on their faces. Embarrassment flushed on their faces.
They got up and stood there awkwardly. "Anygay- I mean anyway, let's head back. I'm exhausted," Hunter said. They walked to the locker rooms to take short rinse. Drying theirselves up, they changed and packed their stuff. Saying goodbye to the others, Amity followed Luz into the car. Putting their stuff in the backseat and getting in their seats, putting on their seatbelts. It was only early 4 in the afternoon, Luz decided to bring Amity for an afternoon snack and a diner.

Luz brought her to her favorite diner: The Owl House. It was called The Owl House for a reason: it's nature coloured theme, the owl themed insides and most importantly a circle that has an owl-like face carved on the door that everyone calls: Hooty. Everyone also calls it The Owl House because the owner's obsession with owls. She brought Amity in saying hi to Hooty as they entered. Sitting down by the window, Amity took the menu that was placed by the side of the table and looked through it.
"So what you having?" Luz asked. "Hmm, I don't know. How bout you?" She questioned back. "You'll see, Eda!" Luz called out for someone. A lady with thick grey hair and a red apron came out of the staff room and walked towards them. "Ah, hiya kid. Who's your new friend?" The lady asked. "Her? Pfft- she's not my friend." Amity's heart broke at Luz's words. Not a friend? "She's my girlfriend," Luz continued. Making Amity's eyes widen and heartbeat go millions of miles.
"Ah, and maybe this time you'll bring her in bed," Eda winked at Luz, who was smirking and a blushed brushed on her face. "Anyway, can you get me my usual?" Eda nodded and walked off. Amity still confused looked at Luz with a red face. "Aww c'mon Blight. You know I'm just kidding." Amity loosened up and was glad Luz was kidding. "But y'know, if you want to we could do it my place." A smug on her face appeared. "S-stop." Amity was so flustered to even look at Luz.
Eda came back with a plate of waffle and vanilla ice cream on top of it with a chocolate milkshake. "Here." She cut Amity a piece of the waffle and brought it up to the Blight's mouth. She looked at it for awhile then ate it. Her eyes sparkled when she tasted it. It tasted way better than what she eats in the manor. "You like it?" Luz asked. She nodded her head and Luz brought another bite to her mouth. While giving Amity the waffle, she also ate it. In between their little meal, a small little owl flew over to their table, startling the Blight.
The owl was as big as both of Luz's palm, and it had brown feathers and a small yellow beak with big yellow eyes. "Hey Owlbert, how you doing?" Luz petted the owl making it let out a hoot. "Owlbert?" Amity question. "Yeah, Owlbert. He's Eda's owl. She leaves him fly around the diner so he doesn't get bored in the cage. Wanna pet him? He won't bite you, unless it's King." Amity brought her hand closer to the owl and slowly she rubbed it's forehead. "Hmm. Cute. But who's King?" She asked, still rubbing the owl. "Oh? King, c'mere boy." In a few seconds, a grey German Shepherd came running up to them.
It stopped when it saw Luz and started nuzzling it's head against her leg. "Aww, I missed you to buddy. Look, a new friend. Now be nice to her and don't nite her." King looked at Amity and slowly walked up to her. She examined the dog and say that it's entire body was grey coloured but it's head. It was white making it look like a skull. King sat in front of Amity and she slowly brought her hand out to pet him. As she placed her hand on his head, she started petting him and King's tail started wagging.
"Aww, he likes you. He doesn't usually like being touch unless he trusts you."
After their petting session, they finished their food and paid. Sending Amity back home, was just the two of them listening songs that were being played. Arriving at the manor, Amity grabbed her stuff and walked over to Luz's side of the car. "Hey, thanks for bringing me today. It was fun." Luz gave her a smile, "hey it was fun hanging out with you. So, see you at school?" Amity nodded her head and turned around to face the manor. Luz was about to close her window but Amity stopped her.
"Yeah?"
Luz looked at Amity, her face all red. She gave Luz a quick peck on the cheeks and walked off, "bye." She brought a hand up to where she was kissed, a smile grew as she thought about it. Closing her window she drove off.
The sound of the door closing, Amity let out air that she didn't know she held in. She leaned against the door, her eyes closed. She started smiling but it quickly fade away when she heard someone cleared their throat. "Where have you been?" Her mother was standing across the room, a cold look on her mother's face sent shivers over her body. "I went out," she answered. Her mother walked closer to Amity until she was a feet apart. "Out with who?" She asked. "A friend," she mumbled. "A friend, who was not the same grade as us? A commoner? A girl? One that you kissed her cheek?" Amity tensed up when her mother said that last part.
"We are Blights, Amity. We do not go around kissing a commoner on the cheek, let alone a girl." Amity's breath grew shakier. "It was just a platonic kiss mother. No-" Her mother slapped her cutting her short. "Platonic? That's the most crap I've heard from you. What are you trying to be? A fag? You will marry one that I choose and that will be Ryan." Her eyes widened, "but Ryan and I broke up! I saw him jerking off to some girl!" She exclaimed, getting another slap from her mother. "I do not care. You will marry him and that's final. Now go to your room and finish up any work you have left over. I hope you're full because you missed dinner. Understood?"
"Yes mother." Tears stinging her eyes as she tried to hold it back.
Her mother walked off the opposite direction. "Oh and Amity, if you ever speak to that girl ever again. You know what I will do. Put on make up to hide those marks before you go to school." When her mother disappeared, Amity ran up into her bedroom. She cried her heart out, not because the stinging pain of her mother's slap but the pain of not being able to talk to Luz. She wanted to secretly talk to her but her mother would always find out no matter how secretive it was. It's like she has cameras everywhere. Crying herself to sleep for the second time this month.
