"Take good care of Pearl from now on, and don't let her down." Was the last thing that Paris told Venus before she turned around and left.

She went through the black gates, walking towards the entrance of the mansion, and entered without looking back. As for Venus, she got back inside of the car and drove back to her own mansion to meet with her father.

Their business was done here, and they were not associated with one another anymore. Meaning that Paris and Venus were not going to be a team. Whatever happens after, they will just act as if they were strangers again. They were not friends, neither companions. They were just simply doing business together, that's all.

"Boss, the uncle of Paris has been killed successfully. The body was wrapped in bandages and was disposed in the lake." The voice of a male bodyguard sounded through the cellphone.

The leader of the major family was in a call with the bodyguard he sent to follow Paris. He was alone in his office, doing some paper work from the company and waiting for Paris to arrive at any minute. He knew that she was going to come back to the mansion to confront him after what she was told by the uncle.

"Hm, and what about Paris? Where is she now?" The mafia leader asked in a stern tone.

The bodyguard answered, "Paris ran away with Venus. They were driving to the mansion. I believe that they should've arrived by now."

The mafia leader: "Alright, you can start heading back now too."

"Yes, sir." The bodyguard replied before the phone call ended.

*Knock Knock*

The door of the office was knocked exactly in the moment that the leader had put down his cellphone on the desk where he was sitting. It was evident who this person was. It was definitely Paris. She had finally arrived.

There was complete silence for a few seconds before the mafia leader spoke up, "Come in." Despite of the situation, he didn't seem to be afraid or ashamed of himself at all. Instead, he still wore that smug and mysterious aura.

As soon as she got the permission to enter the office, Paris barged in really impolitely, slamming the door behind her back once she was inside. She was not planning to put an act and play all nice and sweet with the murderer that was in front of her. She wanted revenge!

"Aren't you tired of being a fake ass liar? You have deceived me so many times, thinking that I won't realize, but I'm not a fool. I won't believe in any of your bullshit anymore!" Paris was spitting venom through gritted teeth. "I almost killed an innocent elder because of you! You lied again and again! But you know what, your fabricated lies won't trick me again because I know the truth now." There was a brief pause before she continued, "My parents didn't die in a car accident. They were shot to death. And the one who shot them was no other person than you!"

The head of the major family remained quiet, listening to everything and pondering about it. He ignored how disrespectful the other was being and answered in a calm manner, "You're wrong. I was not the one who shot them."

*PAM*

Paris, who was standing far from him, stepped closer, and slammed her hands harshly on the desk where he was sitting.

Her blood was boiling and she snapped furiously, "Why are you still lying?! Stop treating me like an idiot, will you?!"

The mafia leader shook his head with closed eyes, letting out a deep sigh before opening them again to stare directly into her eyes. "Paris, calm down. Don't start assuming things so quickly. Listen to me. You don't know the whole truth yet. You only know part of it. You still need to hear the story behind the day when they got shot. Maybe after you hear it, you will understand it better."
