Arthur Leywin POV

After the incident with Pier, the gramps interrogated me about what did I do to that pitiful excuse for a person. I, of course, didn't reveal him anything, but just smiled at him and said that he might have used some kind of artifact to escape

Needless to say, gramps didn't buy any of it. He just glared at me in an attempt to intimidate me for the answer. He failed and finally gave up

Days passed and I had to leave Elenoir. The sad expression Alea made when I was about to leave almost made me stay, but alas, Regis and Dawn reminded me that I should leave, Sylvie supported my little attempt at staying, saying how she wants to stay with her mama for some more time, but ultimately I decided that it's for the best to leave

After leaving, we headed for the adventurers guild to see if there is any urgent mission Kaspian has in the bag for me. We planned to have Sylvie take a test to become an adventurer herself, but that might be impossible with how small she is at the moment

Actually, it is impossible at the moment to do so, considering how Sylvie still looks like a five-year-old, we should probably avoid any suspicion and just go back home

' Papa, let's just go home, I wanna see Ellie '

Sylvie asked in a somewhat pleading tone. I started pondering about that for a bit and decided that I should listen to my daughter's wishes. I could honestly understand her, even though she was hiding her thoughts from me. Just as she got close to and comfortable with her new mom, we had to leave, and now she is feeling lonely

There also aren't many kids her age in our environment, so her only friends are Ellie and Lilia. Though I must admit that she is closer to Ellie, thanks to their relationship before our regression

She developed some kind of bond with Regis, but their friendship is more based on bickering with each other than mutual trust. Weird? Yes, it is. But I am glad that my two companions have a good relationship, even if it's not ideal

While I was thinking about this, we reached the destination I found safe enough and let the aether flow to the godrune on my ribs. Golden light blinded us, and once it disappeared, a colorful portal came to life in front of us. We entered the portal, and with some nausea, reached the place it was connected with. Now we stood in the middle of my room in Helstea manor

Taking off my dirty clothes and just randomly throwing them on the floor, I picked a set of new, clean ones, put them on, and left the room to greet my family and Helsteas. Sylvie decided to stay in the room, saying how she is too tired and wanted to get some rest

Entering the dining room I noticed that my entire family and Helsteas were present. Apparently after just coming back from work, my dad was still in his uniform while uncle Vincent was laying down on the sofa, seemingly too tired to even lift a finger

My mom was sitting at the table and chatting with aunt Tabitha, drinking tea with a nice floral aroma. Smelling this floral aroma, I felt my chest tightening, already getting sad about being away from my lover and favorite nature mage, Alea

Ellie and Lilia were sitting on the floor at the end of the room, playing with the orbs of pure mana they previously conjured. From the blooming smiles on their faces, I was positive that they had a lot of fun

Seeing them having fun like this, I almost felt bad for interrupting them, but I also knew that mom would get mad if don't say anything

" What are you guys doing?"  I asked while leaning on the doorframe

They all looked at me, surprise evident on their faces

" Brother!" Ellie shouted and ran up to me, jumping in my arms and hugging me in a way she never did after becoming a teen
