I rushed into the basement and saw Kennedy lying down on his stomach on a table. I ripped the goggles off my face.
"Abel I'm telling you to do it."Mr. Tom said
"Do what?"I said
Mr. Tom and Abel both looked at each other with hesitation.
"To- Mr. Tom wants Abel to give him up to save Kennedy," Luke said
"What do you mean...Kennedy is okay right?"I said as I walked closer to them.
"I'm sorry to say it, but Kennedy is not breathing..."Abel said
My eyes widened and became teary almost instantly.
"And this is why you should give me up Abel."Mr. Tom said
"No...we can do something right like with our powers?!"I said
We all turned and looked at Abel.
"Alright...take the upper part of his suit off," Abel said
We listened and took the upper part of his suit off flipping him on his back as well. Now his entire chest was exposed.
"Shawn I need you to make two energy balls in both hands but you have to keep them stable," Abel said I nodded and did so. "Now Luke, I need you to shock Kennedy with the highest voltage right after Shawn."He said and Luke nodded charging up electricity in his left hand. "Shawn you're going to feel the shock, but if you let go it will- never mind." He said, "Just know that if you stay calm and trust Luke you will be fine."He said, "It's your call."He said
They all looked at me and I looked at Kennedy who was lifeless on this table. I also expected Mr. Tom to protest but he didn't. I breathed in and out and placed my hands on Kennedy's chest. His entire chest lit up a light blue. Luke's hand then was placed on Kennedy's chest as well. The electricity from his hand made the lights flicker. I felt the electricity shoot through my body quickly it hurt but I had to stay calm for Kennedy. Luke and I both lifted our hands.
I didn't realize it, but me and Luke both started crying. Not sobbing crying but tear crying. It was quiet for at least five minutes. Mr. Tom was crying as well. But suddenly Kennedy shot up. I hugged him instantly.
"Ah!"Luke screamed
We all hugged Kennedy tightly even Abel.
"He hit me pretty good didn't he,"Kennedy said
"Your okay..."Mr. Tom said, "Shit I can't process this right now."He said
"Neither can I,"Kennedy said
"I'm glad we're BOTH living."Mr. Tom said
"Yeah..." Kennedy said "But we need to figure something out."He said, "Who was that."Kennedy said
We all looked at each other clueless.
Mr. Tom walked over to a table and grabbed a syringe and stuck it in Kennedy's arm.
"Ow,"Kennedy said
I wiped my tears. "Why'd you do that?"I asked
"Luke said he got hit by a big green thing..."Mr. Tom said as he extracted the syringe and wiped his tears. "I figured, look at this."He said
The syringe was filled with a green liquid.
"Woah.."Luke said
"Whatever he hit you with went into your bloodstream," Abel said
"Exactly."Mr. Tom said
Out of reflex, I hugged Kennedy.
"You must miss me," Kennedy said teasingly.
"You realize you were dead right?"I asked with an attitude.
Kennedy shrugged and looked at what Mr. Tom was doing.
"I wish I could get this somewhere to be tested..."Mr. Tom said as he walked around with the syringe.
"When we go back to school we could test it at the science lab," Luke said
"Smart," I said
"What was the kid calling himself again?"Abel said
"Sky1."I said
"Yeah and he was saying that we needed to bow down to her," Luke said
"Who?" Kennedy said
Me and Luke both shrugged.
