"Ce soir mon ami, tu connaîtrais le prix du sang, et de tes larmes."

Start from the beginning

In fact, he almost stood up to hug him but then he decided against because that would mean he would have to apologize again later, because he would have made him uncomfortable, and also stopped paying attention, and maybe also stopped König from paying attention, putting both men in danger.

After thinking that, it's like a bucket of sadness splashed on Bullet. He suddenly felt so down, he wanted to just burry himself in his bed and stay there for at least a few weeks, he started to think he didn't actually deserved this place, that he's to weak of a man, that he shouldn't be in military, that his friends deserved his place, that his friends deserved to live and not him, that Shay and Leon would have been way better doing his job. There he was, now battling against his tears, he doesn't cry a lot, he hates crying in front of others because he doesn't like when people see him crying and try to comfort him.

"Just pay attention !"

Whispered-yelled König to Bullet. There he was now, he was blinking a lot to avoid the tears from falling down, he would also yawn to pretend the tears are from yawning, but didn't do it because König might be seeing it as laziness. Bullet miserably failed to fight his tears and let two thin streams fall, he was also thankful of the fact König turned back so he wouldn't see him.

He hated himself, he hated the fact his vision was now blurry and he couldn't see anything, giving him more difficulties to pay attention. He hated himself for having let his mind wander off that far, for being distracted when he shouldn't be. His body started to choke up a bit, silently, now sobbing, he hated himself even more, almost wondering if he should just jump out of the window. He wished Shay was there, her being the "mother" of the group, she would have noticed even a country away that Bullet was feeling sad, she would have tried to comfort him, silently, because she knew that Bullet wouldn't like to talk about it. Leon, him, would have tried to cheer him up by making jokes and just smiling at him, because when Bullet wouldn't bring the mood to the room he would do it instead.

Bullet failed to contain one of his sob, letting out a small whimper. König heard it, he figured out Bullet was crying and blamed himself for it, not seeing any reason than himself. He felt so bad, he wanted to apologize immediately but the situation got too awkward for him, he didn't know how to act and felt uncomfortable. He thought a lot about how he would make up for it later on and how to apologize, he started overthinking about the words he said prior to Bullet's breakdown and suddenly hated himself too.

Not knowing what to do, he just waited, nevermind, they both waited, König for Bullet to stop crying and Bullet for the happy memories with his loving friends to erase themselves from his brain. The french man then wiped his tears and sniffed, then sighed, and slapped himself to actually concentrate.

He looked around the area and found no one, still. He really hoped he didn't miss anyone. He then heard a bang from König's sniper, then a thud from the enemy on the streets. Meaning that Bullet has probably failed, he actually missed someone and König had to take him out.

"Je suis vraiment un putain d'enculé..."

Bullet cursed at himself.

"Sorry ?"

König said, asking for a translation.

"I was just stating that the sky is blue"

Bullet sarcastically lied, though there was no tone of irony in his voice, he didn't have the guts to be in a good mood, obviously.

"Yeah sure."

König replied in a tone that was maybe a bit too harsh for his own liking, he cursed himself mentally for being too rude to the younger who just had a breakdown.
